When you realize that sheer victimization of employees is something real in certain organisations, you would begin to appreciate why under extant international best practice in labour and employment law, an employer may no longer "hire and fire" for no reason(s) or for invalid or insufficient reason(s). As it stands, an employer is expected not just to give reason(s) but to provide valid reason(s) for termination which may include: 1. proven lack of capacity to perform assigned tasks (incompetence). 2. actual (not fictitious) redundancy (or other operational or business exigencies). 3. misconduct. Accordingly, termination of employment for "services no longer needed/required" as used to be the norm would have no legs to stand or knees to crawl under the new regime of labour and employment jurisprudence. If, as an employer, you feel that your employment has been wrongfully or unlawfully terminated, please endeavour to procure good legal advice or counselling on options open to you. And conversely, employers also have a right to proceed against employees in deserving cases because justice is for everyone. All in all, we all should realize that the emerging trend in labour and employment law is rapidly closing the yawning inequities of the past between an employer and employee flowing from the Common Law rule of master-servant relationship. Speak up and resist unfair and unwholesome labour and employment practices to the best of your ability. Employees are no longer mere factor of production: they deserve to be heard, and to be treated fairly in all possible circumstances. |

Understand your Bosses personality , it is key , I've had various personality types as Bosses and i deal with them from that perspective 2. Never underestimate the power of middle Man , maybe your Bosses Boss , Mentor or someone they respect , find out someone they can listen to . If they don't have , I may not be able to help you in that regard( 3.Always document , it would save you a lot , at first it may not seem useful but try it and see how it changes a lot positively 4. Write a grievance email or a note to your Boss, send it to yourself , read that mail when you are no longer angry with the Boss, and decide whether you should send it or delete 5.You can never win a battle with your Boss , know this and know peace , you may not agree or even like them , but do your work well , your work will speak for you 6. A smart Boss looks for people that can help them achieve a goal , so unless you are dealing with a nitwit , I will presume that if you are a strong Team Member, your Boss will most likely want you on the Team 7. Get Your Offer Letter Before Resigning From Your Current Employers. It is important to get your offer letter from prospective employers, signed by both parties before you resign from your current employer. A verbal offer is not enough. Candidates still get ghosted after being told: Congratulations! I have seen a lot of cases where prospective employers change their minds at the final stage of the interview. Others gave employment to another candidate after saying Congratulations to another. Recently a case was brought to me, where the candidate was asking what should he do, as he interviewed in March this year, congratulatory email and salary breakdown was sent to him and he was asked if this was okay, he accepted and told them he was waiting for the Offer of Employment. He tendered his resignation with his current employer thinking they will send the offer letter, till date they never got back to him and he is still unemployed. Congratulations you are the selected candidate is Different from; Kindly find attached your Offer of Employment stating all the necessary details and information. Except you are leaving based on toxicity or specific reasons best known to you, DO NOT resign from your current place of work on the basis that the prospective organisation must give you an offer. Have you ever had a brilliant idea? And instead of acting, you sit and think about it because you want it to be perfect. only for you to see a version of your idea in public. Sometimes it seems as if someone else took your idea and ran with it. This used to happen to me a lot. The truth is it still does, but not as much. I have since realized that continuous improvement is better than delayed perfection. The best way to improve is to start. The worst way is to wait. You've got a great idea, but you're worried about the execution—you don't want to rush it. Before you put your product out into the world, you want to make sure that everything is perfect. If it's not perfect, who will buy it? But here's the thing: if you wait for perfection, then your idea is never going to see the light of day. The truth is that everyone can get better and getting better is always possible. If you don't try to improve something, someone else will take your ideas and use them to make their own plans before you do. So why waste time waiting for perfection when you can use that time to improve? But there will be nothing to improve if it does not exist. Remember, anything multiplied by 0 is always 0. |

The biggest trees started as a seed and the seed wouldn't become that tree if it/they didn't fall to the ground. Falling and failing is the catalyst for growing. So, if one must fall to grow and fail to improve; why do we make staff and team members see failing as a dreaded thing? Kindly learn to create an atmosphere where members can fail and not be castigated, make mistakes and corrected, fall and be held up and shown the pitfalls. REPORT TO: HEAD, FINANCE & ACCOUNT JOB TITLE(S): Account Officer LOCATION: Mushin- Ladipo, Lagos NO OF OPENING: ONE (1) POSITION SENIORITY LEVEL: JUNIOR ROLE JOB RESPONSIBILITY: • Preparing vouchers for Payment, Daily • Bank Reconciliation on, Daily basis. • Handling Petty Cash. • Entering Bank payments and Posting Journal Entry on Tally. • Preparing Cheque requisition for Payment. • Attending to Complains pertaining to Bank Payments. • Sorting Vouchers, LPOs. • Preparing Casual Labour Sheet. • Receiving of the good delivery note (GRN) and posting Local purchase entry in tally. • preparation and checking of supplier's payment as when due. • Getting LPO from procurement and posting entries in tally. • Filling of all Local purchases order and LPO with relevant documents. • Posting of Journal entry for spare parts, Diesel consumption, NEPA consumption, LPG Consumption. • Partaking on physical stock taking for Maintenance, Production, RM-Store. • Receiving of Return Delivery Note from logistics. • Liaising with other department for smooth operation of business. • Stock Reconciliation for Engineering spare parts, Monthly. • Perform Other Activities given by the HOD/SCM. QUALIFICATION: • Minimum Educational standard: B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Business Administration & Economics EXPERIENCE: • Minimum Working Experience: 2 Years. JOB REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS & ATTITUDE: • Manufacturing Experience will be an added advantage. • Good knowledge of accounting. • Good Knowledge of Tally ERP 9.0. • Excellent Interpersonal skills. • Good team player. • Proficient in MS Office, Excel Especially. • Outstanding Interpersonal skills and organizational skills. • Good communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills. JOB SPECIFICATION: • Must live within close proximity or ready to relocate. • Must be Confidential. SALARY RANGE: N60, 000 – N80, 000 Net Pay.
