Ademola Adeleke, the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the just-concluded gubernatorial election in Osun State, has been declared the winner of the election by the electoral commission, INEC.

Announcing the winner in the early hours of Sunday, INEC’s Chief Returning Officer, and Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, declared that Adeleke got a total of 403,371 votes beating the incumbent, Adegboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress, who got 375,027 votes in a keenly contested race.
