Governance na your mate...

grin cheesy grin cheesy

The trends continues...borrow borrow Governance..

It's on record that the outgoing Osun State Governor, that lost his re-election bid over the weekend, did not borrow a dime during his 4years tenure....within this period, he was reported to be one of the few Giovernors paying the minimum wage and was not owing workers salaries.....Despite this, he lost his re-election bid grin grin grin.

Anyways, Congratulations to the people of Osun and the Osun State workers once again grin grin grin
Are you really serious about Oyetola not borrowing at all in 4 years?

When Buhari was explaining to them the necessity of borrowing to fund infrastructure deficit that will in future recover the loan they call him names. Now their best, the most educated, the one who knows economy the most among them is borrowing N100b for his state.
We all need to just be worried if the money borrowed isn't well spent but spending money on infrastructure is good especially if our revenue to borrowing index is healthy.
Hypocrites already evaded the thread singing all sort of songs!

Hypocrisy, But when the FG borrow money for the same infrastructure we all always condemn them.

First 100 days Soludo already borrowed 100billion.

He seeks approval to borrow. I'm against borrowing 100 percent though. Debt is bad.

Hahaha..I told them wink

Prof. Soludo is not used to not having much money and in this case, I doubt if those guys in the assembly can really give a credible alternative to this borrowing.

When he started by over-promising and I knew his time at CBN was when his huge expenditures and jumbo serverance pay were never submitted to the National Assembly, I started telling Ndi Anambra to monitor Soludo very closely.

It was late President Yardua that saved Nigeria from his atrempted experiment with redenomination. If not, we would have been Ghana where 1 new cedi is today worth about 1 million old cedi after redenomination of cedi in 2007.
Meanwhile, if you want free business ideas and directory of money sources, please check my signature. Cheers.
I felt bad Yardua didn't let him go ahead with the policy back then, but now I know better.

Hypocrisy on steroid. I thought we’ve all agreed that loan is bad. I also thought we want to vote in Peter Obi as president because he developed all the needed infrastructure in Anambra without obtaining loan and even saved N75billion for the future. So, what has changed?

Why are you supporting Soludo to take loan now since it’s so bad according to Obinomics? What infrastructure is Soludo even building since Peter Obi already did everything when he was governor?

There is an extent to which lie can go before truth catches up with it. Soludo will be the one to rubbish all the Obi lies. He started by trashing the so-called $100million investment and now he’s going to obtain loan to build real and lasting infrastructure that Peter Obi failed to build. He is a proper and sensible governor who understand how to develop a state and not the lying scoundrel called Obi whose only achievements are false China statistics.

Whenever I go through your grammatical construction, I weep for the country because if the educated could be this sentimental, I wonder how the uneducated will reason.

Keep deceiving yourself! Both leaders don't share the same philosophy in style of leadership and financial management. Each person follows economic policies that work for him. Who are the we that agreed that Loan is a bad? Na ONLY YOU!!! Loan isn't a bad idea in business/governance but judicious use of the loan on key infrastructures that will boost the economy and generate more funds for the state. What if infrastructures built by Peter Obi weren't maintained properly under 8 years of Obiano, and Soludo in his own style of leadership feels to borrow to fund those projects, it's his choice and NOT OBIs. No leader can build all the infrastructures needed by a state. Stop spewing rubbish!! Soludo isn't rubbishing any statement by Obi. Soludo is governing Anambra state in his own way. Don't compare Both!!!

Refresh my memory: I thought one of his key goals is to encourage local and oversea investment in the state and reduce government borrowing.

Secondly can the proposed infrastructures pay themselves out or improve the ease of doing business in the state?

Since Governor Soludo is an economist,
I believe between him and his economic team that they mean well for Ndi' Anambra.

GOD BLESS NIGERIA.

You are actually complaining for Peter Obi.If Peter Obi have not left Anambra without any loans, Soludo won't be able to borrow as much as 100billion.I dare any other State to apply for 100 billion loan, if it will be granted becos of the debt profile of the State

Mr man be calming down. Why dragging Obi into this post? So, because Obi was a governor in Anambra other Anambra governors should not work again?
Tinubu was a governor of Lagos state in 1999-2007 and from 2007 to this point, Lagos has never seized to grow in times of infrastructure and debt. So, should we say Tinubu did not achieve anything in Lagos nor does Lagos don't need infrastructure?

If he wants to gain traction he must ensure this so called infrastructure investment must be business oriented. Either one that will directly generate revenue or cut own cost of doing business.

However if it is social infrastructure then he MUST go low budget/direct labour so that the youth an small business are empowered, those he will hope to tax tomorrow to sustain social programs.

He should look at the Ebonyi model an avoid big ticket construction companies that will either end up paying half that loan as dividends to fat cat directors in some far away land or worse still contribute to more capital flight, further putting pressure on the naira.

We should start an era of development when we learn to do things for ourselves on shoe string budgets. That is the way the Asian tigers got their roar. China was not built by Julius Berger. We have oil but we are not Saudi Arabia. Nigeria must cease to be a contractors paradise unless poverty will never leave..

I see so many naive Yoruba supporting that Peter Obi and citing competence as the reason and I shake my head.

So Anambra don't even have all the necessary infrastructure after he spent 8 years there, what exactly was his achievement in Anambra that deserve all the hype he is getting?
I know Anambra more than some indigenous people of Anambra. I have been visiting Anambra close to 18 years now. When you hear them, over hyping Anambra, You will think, the state is competing with Dubai and 10 Downing street in UK. This year alone, I have visited Anambra not less than 4 times.
The state is complete a glorified dumpsites. From Limca road, down to Obosi, to Awka Road, Ogidi, Iyi Enu, Nnewi. All but dumpsites on their major roads.
No Govt public transport. Full of deplorable roads here and there.

The worst Agberos are not in Lagos but in Anambra. Imaging going to Ochanja to buy some items. I paid at 5 different locations for Agberos.
The Pandora fraud, Obi they hail on social media, can not win a local Govt election in Lagos if he's to be judged by performance.

Ask them about Obi legacy as a Gov in Anambra. They will tell you he saved N75b which has been denied by his by Obiano.
Only Yorubas who have not left his state will believe the propaganda from the Obi camp
