If you are a Christian and you are saying this, keep confusing yourself. Does your daughter's boyfriend have authority over her and will you allow her use his name as her surname? Also, does she being his girlfriend give her the right of ownership of his property? If yes, then you are right. But if no, keep fooling yourself. This is a simple issue. Marriage is defined by a payment of bride price in the presence of many people that can bear witness of the matrimony. Can you deny this or claim is not biblical? Until you and your spouse who is from the opposite sex do this, you are not married to each other. So, do it before having sex with the person. Or, is there a biblical instance where engagement without payment of bride price is accepted for sexual intercourse?

What you are trying to point out is where the Bible says that any man that sexes a virgin should pay her bride price and marry her. And that part of the Bible is descriptive, not prescriptive. Descriptive parts of the Bible tell what happened in places, how rulers or kings made laws and how offenders were judged and punished. You can call the descriptive parts the old ways. The prescriptive parts approve many of the old ways and abolished few. Sexing a woman before paying her bride price is an example of an old way abolished by the descriptive parts of the Bible.

For example, descriptive part uses the word "virgin", which means the man should disregard the law (the commandment of a man marrying a virgin after sexing her) if the woman he sexed is not a virgin. In other words, the very commandment applies only when the man's sexual intercourse with the woman is what took the woman's virginity. This means a man is free to sex a divorced woman that has been deflowered by her ex husband. It also means a man is free to sex any single (never married) lady that has been deflowered by another man.

But the descriptive parts totally condemn sex outside marriage, whether she is a virgin or not. Even paying her bride price and marrying her after the sexual intercourse will not justify the premarital intercourse. Is there any part of the Bible you can use to deny this? White wedding is a different topic that we can face if you are willing and ready.
