Alex stood in front of the mirror wondering if he will remain disfigured forever, he runs his finger through his face and sighed.

But he saw Sandra through the mirror looking at him and he turned to face her.

“How are you? Come” Sandra walked to him and he hug her still looking at his face in the mirror, he has become a very sad man these days and Sandra didn’t know how to get back her man.

Even though Alex seems to be happy whenever she’s around him, she knows he’s not happy.

“You know you can always get back your face,” Sandra said as she place her head on his chest.

“And what magic would that be?” Alex asks scoffing at Sandra's comment.

“I saw it on TV, there is this doctor I always watch on TV, he can bring back your face.”

“Sandra stop watching those people, they’re not real,” Alex said.

Even though he schooled abroad, and had all the exposure, he has no time for cosmetic surgery, he has heard about it before but he didn’t think he will be in a position to have one done on him.

“But we just have to try one of these Doctors” Sandra insisted because she won’t like Alex wearing this kind of face on their wedding day.

Alex agrees so she stops talking about it, he’s not having it easy on himself either so he agrees to see the doctor even though he didn’t quite like it.

The next day both Alex and Sandra are in the man's office.

“How may I help you?” he ask them and Alex wondered if he was truly the doctor they saw on TV.

“Can’t he see my face?” he muttered but told him anyway why they are there.

"Is okay, we can handle that, but it will cost you a lot of money, do you have anyone, like parents, Guardian, who can pay for the surgery.?"

Alex wanted to get angry but Sandra held his hand and squeezed it, signaling him to calm down.

"Of course, I have the money to pay for it."

“Very well then, you need to sign some papers before we start.”

“I don’t like that doctor,” Alex told Sandra on their way home.

"You need to calm down, all you want is your face back, and after that, you have no reason to talk to him again.”

“Fine, I will just do this for you,” he said and smile, but Sandra didn’t know the difference if he smiles or not, everything about his face remains the same, so expressionless.

The doctor gave them three days to come back for the surgery after they’ve paid the money and all documentation has been finalized.

They went back after three days and Alex was asked to go into an office to meet the surgeon while Sandra wait behind in the receiving room.

Alex walked straight and open the door, he was dumbstruck at the beauty sitting in front of him.

“Can a human being be this beautiful?” He muttered never averting his gaze from her.
