If you love her being positive is nothing just follow her to go and register for ARv, within 8 months on constant intake of TLD her viral load will reduce and be undetected.Hiv is like a normal sickness. I do HIV test almost every 6 months and I don't have any results at home... Though I see the result but them no dey take am home.

All the heart to heart centre I have been to in government hospitals don't give result. They just tell you the result orally, then counsel you.

The woman that was doing that test was not part of the hospital staff, is like a seperate government agency or private organisation. Though i'm not trying to defend the lady o, people can be dubious sometimes.

Yes. She did the test on her own and was not sent by any doctor or hospital to do it so she may not need a written result... such things happen. It have happened to me before but if u want to know her status u can follow her to the hospital and they will show u where the result is written on their record book.

When I did one a decade ago, the result was not given to me, probably because I only saw them conducting free tests and decided to tag along . It might be the policy of the hospital (maybe it's the free type she went for).

Lol guy it's not all about trust, even the day I did mine the hospital I went for d test there are many couples and others who came for the same test, so are you trying to tell me they don't trust themselves? It's good to have a routine test with your partner not only HIV test so that's how we do our own thing. So it's far from trust she is not wayward, just that the statement that she cannot be given her test result because the test is involuntary sound so alien to me and from the comment above it seems some government hospital don't give test results.

The two of you should go and submit for test, go there together to collect the results . I have done it in government hospital twice and my results given to me. I have seen people who did it there too, the results given to them. You paid for it. It is your property. Egbekiniwa it is own.

In general hospital lab nobody will give you result they will just tell you if you're positive or negative.
except if you and your partner want to do it for marriage purpose.
When I did my own in general hospital in Kaduna here after spending like four minutes, the lab guy told me I'm negative he even explain everything to me that's how I summoned courage to go with my girlfriend in another hospital to do another HIV test and we both came out negative.

There is the provider initiated testing and counselling services in most health facilities where organizations working on the HIV program are stationed in, what that means is she may have met one of their testers who just tested her to add up her testing numbers to meet her target for the day, result from those random testers most times needed to be confirmed before official release. When it turns out negative, they just do post test risk reduction counselling and ask the client to come back after 3 months for another test without really giving out a result.

The test, if conducted in a government hospital,is free but if you need the result printed, you must pay 1k. Otherwise you'll be told the result verbally.

If she did the test in a government clinic/hospital and she went there on her own accord i.e walked in just to do the test then she might not be given a result paper if she is negative. The nurses will just tell you to leave that you are negative and that's all. But if positive, counselling commence from there.
