Yes you do luckily most host come with a Cpanel except u mean uploading contents,articles no u don't its a CMS u don't need to manually alter contents |

u dnt need ftp to upload wordpress blog, u can only upolad from ur cpanel and after that u want to upload content , upload content from ur wordpress dashboard |
