Nigeria with rising poverty, bad economy and increasing insecurities do not need such duty...I know 2025 is far bt we need to work on our economy than thinking about hosting AFCON..
allow other African economy that is better n stable than us to do the hosting...
sporting wise we have less than 5 standard pitch in the whole of Nigeria, I hope de aint planning to play AFCON on synthetic plastic turf that would disgrace us wen rain falls like it happened d last time we hosted u-17 world cup...
gulfer:
And where's the money for that
ufotunang:
.. Nigeria that is borrowing money to fund the budget ..with this how will it be possible to host such a tournament
COMPAQ:
We don't want. We are broke and have too many issues at the moment.

Nigeria is NOT poorer (even arguably even less secure) than Cameroon that just hosted AFCON…
All balance sheets (as with most things in life) have TWO columns - pluses (benefits) and minuses (liabilities).

Such a tournament will bring business (for hotels, transporters, suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors, food vendors, etc.)…
It will raise visibility, goodwill, and might provide the kick-in-the-rear required to upgrade (or maintain) so many facilities in Nigeria.

Ultimately, in life, you first have to INVEST (spend money one way or another) to IMPROVE your circumstances.

The bubu co won't let it happen, and if it happens, the northerners will see it as tribalism and disrupt the tournament.

This clueless and disaster of a man still talking.

I had expected him to throw in the towel because he has destroyed what remained the soul of Nigerian football.

Our league in tatters. The clubs no longer compete creditably on the Continent. Our national teams are shadow of themselves. He is only interested in national team coaches where he could cash out. So,he goes for foreign coaches who could provide the leverage for him to cash out big.

He is a disaster whose only passion is Stand Up comedy. Yet,ironically, he presides over affairs of Nigerian football.

He should be chased out of the Glass House to meet his thieving kiths and kins in Warri Kingdom!

Which stadiums do we want to use. Shey our national stadiums that are not being properly maintained is what we want to use. How about the massive insecurity in the land. Before they start to kidnap because this country does not look like a country that has plans to be good anytime soon.

This is good news but I hope the security situation of the country will let them. Meanwhile, as a sportsman I'll advice you get yourself the Oraimo watch 2 pro, it's water and sweat resistant hence will be perfect for exercising.
