In the thread where Actress Hilda Dokubo was reported as saying that Labour Party will take over Rivers State in 2023, somebody posted a YouTube video of her being interviewed by BBC Igbo and she was speaking fluent Igbo.

It got me confused… because the name “Dokubo” is clearly Ijaw and not Igbo. So I don’t know how she learnt Igbo that much.

But one thing is clear, there’s so much affinity between Southeast and Southsouth than some people are willing to admit.

Lol... OP, if you are confused that she speaks the language, then you must be very young. The lady in question started her acting career in Igbo. She is featured as Chioma in the Igbo movie titled Fatal Desire. And that's where she got famous. She has featured in many other Igbo movies.

I can challenge some Hausa people in Hausa language. In school ,indigenous Hausa students copy from me and I have an A1 in hausa language.

She clearly identified as Igbo in the video.
