In case Dogara suffers from short memory, he should be reminded that he has always been a beneficiary of the goodness and large-heartedness of Muslims in his political trajectory.
In 2003, Muhammad Habib Aliyu (Tafidan Ningi) a Muslim and then a Minister of State gave Dogara his first political appointment as Special Assistant from being a classroom teacher.
Dogara also need to be reminded that another Muslim, Adamu Muazu, then the sitting Governor of Bauchi State, made it possible for him to be elected into the House of Representatives in 2007.
It is also on record that in 2015, Aminu Tambuwal, the incumbent governor of Sokoto State, also a Muslim, orchestrated how Dogara became the Speaker of the House of Representatives, much against the stance of the ruling party.
Dogara owes his political relevance and ascendancy to the benevolence of Nigerians from the North, who are Muslims. Isn't it bewildering that same man is now railing against the APC Muslim-Muslim ticket.
If Dogara's benefactors who are Muslims could put their religious differences aside to prop him up to the political height he has attained today, how then can the former Speaker, in good conscience, now make religion an issue to bicker over for his party ticket?
I challenge Dogara to come clean and tell Nigerians that his bitterness and bellicosity is not borne out of his genuine love for Christians, but rather because he was not considered the APC Vice Presidential candidate. This is all about his selfish interest dubiously couched in a garb of altruism. The discerning are not fooled one bit. You people are maaad!! So because some people helped Dogara in the past, he should lie still so that a drug baron will fart in his face? That criminal better bear the consequences of his misguided decision in peace!

So Muslims on the South do not have a right to contest. You can not in your delusion tell Nigeria what they must feel. I am a Christian n will be voting Tinubu. Only the 2023 polls will determine if majority of Nigerians are OK with that or not not any Igbo delusion. Mindlog:
Since 1999, the switch has been South producing the President (Christian) and the North the Vice-president (Muslim) to North producing the President (Muslim) and the South, the Vice-president (Christian).
Now after 8 years of PMB, APC thinks there is nothing wrong in presenting Tinubu and the North feels Tinubu is not even Muslim enough, reason they can't even support a Christian of Northern origin as his Vice-president candidate thus Shettima.
In igboland the reality of Christian-Christian tickets in gubernatorial elections is the reality of Muslim-Muslim ticket in Sokoto, Kano, Jigawa etc.
Can Christians clamour for Governorship or Deputy Governor in a state like Zamfara? Of the tribes of Nigeria, it is only the Yorubas that have the mix of both religion as it is common to see a Yoruba family gathering with a mix of Christian and Muslim relatives but in Igboland that is overwhelming Christians, it is very uncommon to have relatives who are Muslims just as it is very uncommon in the core North that is predominantly Muslims to have that mix.
Nigeria is a diverse Country and with the present security reality, it will be irrational for anyone to expect Christians and adherents of other religious leanings to feel comfortable with same faith ticket. Maybe when Nigeria finally breaks up because daily happenings is not indicating nationhood but cracks, each region can be at liberty to choose what they want without having to explain to anybody. |

Muslims could be lese than 1% in the SE and SS region. So its normal.
In the North muslims could be 60%.
In the SW muslims could me 60%.
But in Nigeria as a country, christians could be 60%.
So presidency should accomodate both religions. |
