Accessed: My program is a 2years diploma Fees is 35,500 CAD I have paid deposit of 1000 CAD with option then to deposit the first semester fees if my sch opens portal for international student fees. The sponsor is my mother I did 1 year internship after my graduation and there was no salary for it, but I attached my employment latter. I did not explain why my mum is sponsoring and didn’t emphasize more there. I didn’t explain her remaining properties and car. I did Biochemistry and I’m furthering for laboratory research and biotechnology. I uploaded the attorney’s papers of the landed documents sold. |

macdeeza: I wonder if anyone can give you a definite response because it's a strange situation we are all confronted with. However, i'm curious as to what you intend doing with the response? Are you thinking of boosting the POF and sending via webform? how do you explain the lumpsum because indeed it will be a lumpsum payment since you talked about half of the previous POF. or you want to support with additional sponsor and account. What happens if the rate continues to slide and also swallow up the new addition? will you get a third account?? My guess will be to treat based on the rate on application day. Sincerely, we need to start seeing new PPRs to get an idea how IRCC is treating the situation. It will also be interesting to hear the views of our IRCC accredited gurus in the house 3 Likes |

Only VO can answer this question macdeeza: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Accessed: 7:08am On Jun 22, 2023 |
Ultimaate: Your required POF would be Tuition : (35,500 - 1000) = 34,500 Living Exp 10,000 * 2 years= 20,000 Miscellaneous and Trans. = 5,000 Total will be about CAD 59,500 which @ 345 = N20.5M POF appears alright and It is okay if your mum is fully and solely sponsoring you as her child, however, you need to show her source of income and demonstrate that she will have enough funds left after sponsoring you because she and your siblings (if any) will not cease to exist because you are off to school. If she's using all she has, like you said that she sold properties, you should demonstrate that there are still so many assets she still has if the account does not have much again. Otherwise the VO will not accept it as a reasonable expense. You also need to address the other things you listed there. It is important you proof she is your mum, by attaching your birth certificate and maybe pictures. Also, you would need to demonstrate career progression. Explain how biochemistry relates to the new course you are enrolling for. Like I stated earlier, your GCMS notes will clearly point out the VOs concern. Sorry once again and quickly do the needful so you can refire. Note that rates have gone up now when reapplying. 2 Likes 1 Share |

MightyRance: You would say your study permit conditions do not warrant you to apply for study permit inside Canada. It does not apply to all visitors inside Canada. I am not giving you theory. You may want to read and understand section R215. If R215 applies to you as a visitor, you can apply for study permit inside Canada while on a visitor visa. Another point is you didn't understand my post. Did you understand the following sentence in my post? "You didn't even need to leave Canada to apply if you could still stay based on the condition of your visitor visa" |

daisy1: While something may have gone wrong on your part too, I believe you can get hold of them quickly using the following methods; 1. Log on to VFS website and use the chat feature to get quick responses. 2. Also, send emails continuously-- 10 times daily-- to Customerfeedback@vfsglobal.com and Canadang@vfshelpline.com 3. Ensure you fill the customer feedback survey by clicking on "contact us", then click on "Submit a complaint" on their website and give a bad rating and write your complaint in the box provided. They must get back to you, although they are slow in responding. 4. Call their customer care line on 2348150199900. The first option is the best and you will get result faster. 1 Like |

Accessed: @Ultimaate I was just about to add that you will seriously need to convince the VO why they should expend 90% of proceeds of land sale on your education without stating her source of income. You will do well to explain source of income of your mum and every other points highlighted by Accessed. Unfortunately now, POF has skyrocketed so you will be needing about 31,000,000 meaning your mum account should have about 35,000,000 in your reapplication. Very unfortunate. Also I will suggest your mum pays part of the school fees, if possible 1 full year tuition aince you are trying to convince the VO that the proceeds of the land sale are totally available for your education and also transfer 1 year living expenses to your acct. That will make your reapplication stronger. Does your mother have any notable source of income, if no then you have to explain in details other assets she manages and how the rental income from these assests will be enough to take care of the rest of the family most importantly. Also hope you did justice on your future plans and economic ties to justify why an asset will be sold solely to fund your education without your sponsor having other major sources of income. |

Olumain4:using new rate as a basis for denial is highly unjustifiable. When I submitted, rate was 345, now 536. Is difference not significant. Is currency suppose to increase in that manner? My POF of 81k cad has turned 46k cad. Mtcheeww.... |

zubizareta: But this lands the purchase in years back now she’s just a trader and the have other lands attached to their names which someone advise me to attach this documents to show they have other properties and she have a car 2010 Toyota Corolla and my brothers are doing well in their respective business. Now someone advise I should explain about my future plans and the impact of the funds spent for what I’m my going to do. Secondly someone said I shouldn’t upload her statement of account since didn’t sent the funds directly to me because they buyers have to do so because of Bank problem. And she’s a Norma Nigeria local trader so you know they don’t like bank problems with their money |

zubizareta: And my friend now said I need to sell another property to pay first semester sch fees and explain to them that remaining 25m will be for my remaining sch charges and expenses. Then he said I should explain more on the impact of my work and home ties and this a whole lot of work but he said I shouldn’t include many things I didn’t provide before |

francophone134: In my opinion, nobody is certain about the rate they will use. It would be unfavourable if they use the new rate for people who have submitted before the surge in rate. You should also note that they own the right to make their decisions. You should hope they ask for updated POF instead of outright refusal. One thing is close to certainty: those whose application has favourably passed eligibility review before the surge in rate will not be affected. Meanwhile, these people should prepare for updated POF at the point of entry. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by ShowYoung: 9:02am On Jun 22, 2023 |
bennaz: Do not worry much about this. They are suspecting that you may have tuberculosis. This happens especially when you have had TB in the past even if its 30 years ago. The X-ray captured the scar which is interpreted to be TB bacteria. They want to be sure. The sputum is being incubated to find any signs of growth in TB bacteria. Effect. Scenario 1. If there is any sign of growth, you would be required to start an eight-month DOT therapy to cure the TB. Your application would be put on hold, if you meet the eligibility requirements, until after the eight months and it is established that the TB bacteria is totally dead or latent. Scenario 2. If after three months, none of the sputum specimens does not have any growth, you will be called in for another chest X-ray to compare whether or not there is a difference between the first and the new one . If there is no difference, you may or may not be asked to meet with a recommended TB specialist for additional test. If you are cleared medically, your application will be approved if you meet eligibility requirements. Visa approval will not happen until after at least scenario 2 happens. All the explanations above are for when you are in Nigeria. If per adventure the scenario 2 which is the best occurred, when you get to Canada, you would be asked to go for another chest X-ray and speak with a doctor for further assessment. 5 Likes 3 Shares |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Bobomaigida: 9:54am On Jun 22, 2023 |
Ultimaate: Hi Ultimaate, It is apparent that they feel your quest for a higher education is not a reasonable expense, in addition, I feel you did not do justice in your SOP to explain how the funding was sourced and why it is being deployed to pay for your education. My advice will be for you to quickly request for your CBSA GCMS notes. Then defer your start date and reapply when the funds would have spent four months in the account you will present. This will help you to counter the lump sum deposit issue. |

Just be positive, I think the rate at the day you submitted is what will be used.. I applied before the rate when up too... your POF is still high nau with the new rate 46kcad.. the minimum required amount is 10kcad for living expenses and 1year tuition.. be positive.. my pof went from 37kcad to 25kcad as the rate change.. A frnd of mine that applied before the rate went up got his PPR few days back. He applied middle ot may and got his PPR 5days ago.. so be positive.. it will come out well. francophone134: |

bennaz:You will be approved if you meet the eligibility criteria just that it will set you back 3months. My daughter had similar situation in 2021. After the 8 weeks and sputum comes out negative, you will do a final xray a month after. Once you clear this your medical will be updated to pass and application finalized. |

If a link of repayment is provided in the mail sent to you , all you have to do is make the payment then forward the receipt with a letter of apology to the department handling debt to the crown fees, saying the payment was made on your behalf by a third party which you weren’t aware of the charge back and you sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. By doing this , the would acknowledge the payment and clear the debt on your application. Good luck😊 1 Like |
