I'm pained, downcast and highly disappointed in fellow Nigerians. I tried the "retrieve my application option" from my agent , but I was met with a brick wall. She didn't submit any application as it were. And to think we have been on it for more than a year is equally annoying. I already differed the admission once, I'm supposed to pay tuition deposit on or before August 27th and this. I would have handled it myself if I had known how. I paid an outrageous amount for her non-existent service. I even went for biometrics and upfront medical ( I had a severe ulcer attack on that day, that could have lead to a life threatening situation). She dashed my hope just like that, I'm sobbing badly and there's no one to console me as my husband is not around. Why would you do such to another person? The answer can't be greed, but pure witchcraft. Up till yesterday evening, she kept maintaining that all that is left is a response from IRCC on decision. My sponsor will never take me seriously again. It's indeed a very wicked world and the wait of more that a year has ended in sad tears for me

I feel so sad for you. You can do everything on your own; your admission and visa application. Be cautious next.
Read thread on this platform and ask those you feel could be of help questions and you are go to go.

I've lost all hope. I can't even approach my sponsor with this information and I don't have the funds required to finance myself, I'm just a struggling civil servant.

Thank you very much sir,
I haven't started sending mails to them but I'm starting as soon as possible.
Please may I have guideline of what to include in my mail to them.
Thank you once again for your advice.

Hello Thisuserwanjapa

If they don't allow deferment, then you will have to re-apply..

Meanwhile, have you been bombanding IRCC with mails everyday?

If not, its not too late to start..

It will end in praise..

Peace

You won’t do anything, pray and be hopeful. You visa will come. Sept 6 may seem close but it’s still far and God can do anything within the shortest period of time. What if you wake up tomorrow and it’s PPR?

It will end in praise, please which MP did you mail? Most don't respond
Ocool:
The following is the update I got from the assistant to the MP I contacted on the applications we submitted last week Tuesday, August 2, 2022:

"Hi ...

I have been in contact with IRCC this afternoon about the statuses of your families applications and I do have some updates. All three applications are still within standard processing times.

Your application has been received and is being processed in the Nairobi Visa Office. You have passed your Criminality Assessment, no other Assessments have been started yet. There are no out standing documents on file.

Your husband’s application has also been received and is processing in the Nairobi Office. He passed his criminality as well. No other assessments have been started. There are no out standing documents.

Your daughter’s application was also received and is processing in the Nairobi Office. Her Criminality Assessment is in progress and no other assessments have been started. There are no out standing documents here either.

I will follow up with IRCC about the status of these applications again in 4 weeks and update you accordingly."

However, when checked my dashboard, the background check is yet to be updated.

I mailed them too.. all 7 of them. They won’t respond because you are still within processing time. Are you going to MUN?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Enddystar(m): 6:00am On Aug 11, 2022
Plenty questions in 1. Please pardon me.

Firstly, can I go for police clearance and medicals before submitting my application?

Secondly, can husband and wife do Police clearance/medicals upfront even if only one of them is applying now? Since the secondary applicant will still need them to apply later

Thirdly, how much is police clearance currently? I will also appreciate a contact at the office.

Thank you

Hello bucceryor, pls take it easy. I really understand how you must be feeling now. Try and get another adult to cross check the details you are using to retrieve. I do not know how the "retrieve my application option" from my agent" works though so you may want to google that to be sure you have enough information from the Agent to be able to use this option.

I see peeps dropping their full names for reasons best known to them, I actually have nothing against this though..

But just to remind you guys that:

1). This is a faceless forum where different manner of peeps round the world visit.
2.) If you personally go to God in prayers for your application without dropping your full names here, wont he answer you?

All these have to do with your faith, even Jesus Christ while performing miracles in the bible, worked with the faith of the individuals healed. Without their faith, they wouldn't have gotten their healing..

Dropping your full names here without your Faith at work will result to nothing.. Keep your faith alive, commit your delayed application to God in your closet and see God answer you speedily..

My Late night dose for the concerned applicants..

It will end in praise..

Peace

Thanks for this.

I've also been wondering why are they dropping their names so easily like that when they know the kind of security challenges we have in this country.

If at all they want someone to include their names in a prayer, they should just send a private email to the person.

But my question is if there was no application at all, how did you then get the IRCC Number you used to book your biometrics?

I am suspecting your agent didn't give you the correct details you need.

I think you should arrest her as advised by some people here and ask the Police to get you your log in details from her. Because, I don't know the effect of having two applications if she has already applied.

May God assist us all.

Pls can someone answer me i beg…… so i have an msc in construction project management in the uk earlier this year and i would like to study in canada and one of the people I talked to adviced post graduate certificate program. But my question is
1. Is post graduate certificate program not lower than an msc( i hope it won’t be an issue when it come to visa or I should opt for phd)
2. Can i process my visa from abroad (uk)

CharitoJames:

My dear, I believe this write up is directed at me mostly... Faith works yes and i also know joint prayers work too. You can’t tell your mother or your wife not to pray for you or add you to their prayers simply because they are not you.
So my Dear, whatever works for one so long as it’s not juju or native doctor we are visiting. No one asked them to drop it publicly

compulsorily... most are sending to my mail so don’t discourage us. If i wish to pray for anyone or join my faith with people’s faiths... it shouldn’t affect any other person is anyway and some people need that support to see they are not alone... If not for the good will messages, prayers and lifting peoples hope that some of us do here daily... do you know how many people that must have fallen into depression? We can all talk to God personally but there are churches... What are churches for? Wherever 2 or 3 are gathered... God is there. The least you can do is to wish us well not trying to discourage anyone. There are people here who take it upon them to lift up people’s spirits here which i am one of them... In this journey, anyway na way so long as it is pure.

Dropping your full names an open platform or sending to anyone whose pedigree you don't know is really scary. This might hurt you now or in the future.
Please be careful guys!!!

@gigdraft Hi guys good morning to everyone
So I studied architecture in Nigeria and graduated 2018 with a 2.2 then i went to the uk to do a masters in construction project management which I finished earlier this year with a merit. But I would like to move to canada so my question is can i do another masters or a post graduate certificate program or it must be a phd since i have a masters?
Hi Sunkanmi562,

Any of the stated options is fine. You will only have to backup your decision with a cogent cause. Meanwhile, your UK education favours your travel history. Hence, you are not at disadvantage.

Can't wait to eventually celebrate with you!

This is very scary and wicked

Hello,

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this but I hope someone can advise me correctly please.

The DOB on my brother's passport is wrong while the one on the WAEC is correct. However, he wants to use his waec and passport for Canadian visa application now. How can he correct the one on the passport, please. He is in Dubai and can't travel to Nigeria now.

He was advised to do affidavit that the dob on his waec is wrong but I have second thoughts to avoid issues later.

He will go to the embassy in Abu Dhabi and apply for correction of date of birth on his passport and he must have some one at immigration Abuja because that's where they will get the approval and do the correction. And when the correction is done his passport will be produced in Abu Dhabi
