i'm so thankful for all the pointers on this page. I have commenced the family application using IRCC portal (new portal). i have created a profile for myself. I did the ''add new member'' and When i tried to create a profile for my son, at the beginning, i select ''Visitor's Visa'' to visit a parent who is an international student. About 4 questionnaires later, there's a space for ''Letter of invitation'' i don't have that. No one is inviting my son to stay. i honestly don't know how to answer this and so I'm stuck on the application. Can anyone help please? Thank you |

tamsam19: You need to write Letter of Invitation in which you explain to the visa officer why you want your son to accompany you to Canada. |

nowornever9: Once I open an account here after the pub holiday, funds will be wired via form A to the account. It's different from PTA/BTA and school fees payment. One can only apply once a yr now due to FX issues. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Hello family. Please help me, I'm kinda confused. I'm working on travelling to a private college in Canada that does not give pgwp. The plan is to study for 1yr and then apply for another school. Now, I don't know if I should take that risk. The school is iibs |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by busayo21: 6:51am On Jan 03, 2023 |
hollins87: Well, this doesn’t seem like a wise decision. Why are willing to study in a private college with prior notice that the program doesn’t qualify for a postgraduate work permit. Seems like waste of time and money. Well, is there a particular reason for that? When you eventually apply to a public college, you get a 1 year pgwp which may not be sufficient for your PR processing. 1 Like |

@Jonhstan pls at the Nigeria airport here what documents did they ask for? Do they ransack the luggages at any of the airport? And pls the yellow card how can one obtain it. And at what cost? Am meant to understand that at Toronto, it's basically the introduction letter and passport that they usually ask for? Did they ask for POF at the Toronto airport? Thank you. |

PPR Timeline and Documents First Time Applicant I give God the Glory for making this a reality. Truely, what God cannot do does not exist! I would like to thank @Teeebabyyy, @Johnstan, @Thomysne @Jaykeh @Trailblazer21 @bullstriker @Joedave25 @lolathegenie and @Gigdraft @Yemilizzy for giving prompt response to my questions. I submitted my application in July. I started visiting this platform after and I gained some wealth of knowledge. My SOP was simple and straight to the point (2 pages with one extra page listing the documents I submitted). I also had lump sum of 2M from my sponsor in my personal statement of account and also salary account which was a bonus from work. I did not explain the lump sums and when ever I see peoples' PPR story, I get anxious and the thought of explaining the lump sum and sending an updated SOP via webform always came to mind but I never did. To be sincere, after seeing some PPRs and documents submitted on this platform, I get worried about my application. I decided to relax and trust God to perfect it. In August, I got a scholarship, sent it via webform but never got a response (aside generic response) until October. I also sent an email to the MP but they replied that the agents were busy with Russia applicants so they couldn't help. 2nd week in November, I sent a webform to ask for update on my application. The following week, I forwarded email to Nairobi office. The 4th week, I emailed Accra, Nairobi and London asking for update and also requesting them to expedite my application. That same week, I ordered my CBSA note. Lo and behold, I checked my portal a week after and saw that my eligibility had started. The following day, I received a medical request. I also explained what I would use it for when I return to Nigeria. At a point, I sent myself my medical request, PPR and timeline. I saw someone here who did it and got encouraged to do it. The following day, I got my medical request. Just to encourage those waiting and expecting. Please keep hope alive. It looked like a long wait and had no idea of when it will end but it finally ended in praise. So will it for the hopeful(s) 23 Likes 2 Shares |

Thank you for being so helpful here. I’ll be coming to Waterloo campus in April for May ‘23 intake, I’d really like to ask questions after your first semester in April (being that you would have gotten a hang of the system). I hope that’s okay with you. I wish you all the best! Do you know abt the iCent app to be filled- I heard its mandatory. johnstan: 1 Like |
