Samson Ogundele, a herbalist, was arrested by Ogun State Police Command officers for allegedly raping a teenage girl during a consultation for her missing N1000. The suspect, a resident of Referefu, Oja-Odan, in the state’s Yewa-North LGA, was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly raping the girl and trying to sexually assault another woman who went with seven others to his house for consultation. In a statement released on Sunday, the state PPRO, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, claimed that Ogundele was detained as a result of a report filed by one of the victims at the Oja-Odan divisional headquarters. He explained that the victim reported that a sum of N1,000 was missing among nine hairdressing apprentices and they decided to seek a traditional way to unravel the thief.
