By Obio Monday No fewer than nine persons have been killed in a fatal accident involving a trailer conveying cement and a Toyota Sienna car. GRASSROOT REPORTERS gathered that the incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, August 2 in Ibiae, Biase Local Government Area of Cross River State. A source, Offem Lekam said the driver, identified as Bassey Loways and all his passengers who are all indigenes of Ekori community in Yakurr Local Government Area all died. Very sad indeed! The portion of the road around the palm plantation is very bad. It appears the damaged sections of the road have not been fixed. Accidents on Nigerian highways are really becoming unduly frequent... |
