It is obvious some of you have perfected the act of lying and sharing fake statistics from Peter Obi. How can you post a result and still be lying shamelessly about the percentage in your own data? Tofa got 52% of total vote cast in the SE while MKO got 48%. That an outright victory for Tofa and an embarrassing defeat for MKO. We will never forget.
So the 48 percent of Igbos in the southeast that voted Abiola is not significant

The 58 percent of Anambra people that voted Abiola showed Igbos hate for Yorubas

The joke is on you Mr Tinubu supporter..

Tribal solidarity is Tinubu's last hope..

Azikiwe won a seat in the western house of assemble from Lagos. In fact, he aspired to become the premier of western region but failed due to his party’s failure to win majority seats. If NCNC had won majority seats in western region assembly, Azikiwe would have become the first premier of Western Nigeria. Did any Yorubas win election into Eastern region assembly?

In 1979, how many Igbo state did Awolowo win? Nothing. In 1993 when it was between a Yoruba man and Igbo man, majority of Igbo voters opted to vote for Bashir Tofa. Above is your history of treachery and betrayal. We shall never forget.
A bloody lie like you; it seems you are the one that inherited the linage tribal politics.

Considering his widespread popularity and charismatic appeal, anti-Azikiwe Yoruba elites now faced the realistic possibility of Zik leading the National Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons (NCNC) party to capture not just the eastern regional assembly but also the western one.

In March 1951, Awo and his mostly Yoruba supporters established the Action Group (AG) party to prevent Zik from winning the western election, and in effect becoming the most powerful political leader in the entire southern Nigeria. Accordingly, the main themes in AG’s campaign messaging that year were opposition to Zik, the idea the west should be for “Westerners”, and the threat of “Ibo domination.”

Awo’s Nigerian Tribune newspaper claimed Zik’s “political and social activities had this Ibo-domination inclination” for years. The paper also urged Zik, who was contesting a seat in the Yoruba-majority city of Lagos, to stay out of western politics since he did not belong to the region “by birth”. An editorial in Tribune stated it was “an insult to all westerners” for Zik, an Igbo, to be contesting in their region. Why could he not go and contest in his eastern “homeland”? Meanwhile, AG campaign posters urged “true born” western Nigerians to vote AG because it stood for “western solidarity

Bro this is wrong. This is what we always do in Nigeria. I.e identify a group of people and vilify them as the "evil" who must leave for Nigeria to make progress.

Man is patently flawed. Only strong societal structures and laws prevents him from doing his worst. On a daily basis, assuming you live in Nigeria, can you not see the average Nigerian has no aversion to corruption, scamming, deception, indolence, stealing, fraud, promiscuity, tribalism etc?

It is precisely the same all over the world . The difference is that strong and dedicatedly applied laws and sincerely progressive policies gets the best out of people in developed nations whereas our fundamentally warped structures, delivered by cynical opportunism, brings out the worst in Nigerians !!!

Check my past posts to see I don't particularly talk of corruption and I never defend any Nigerian, not even myself, as saintly.

This is because I am a realist. I see with my own two eyes daily that the average Nigerians is worse than Buhari and a hypocrite who does the wrong thing every second of the day he then hypocritcally claims only leaders are guilty of.

Forget blaming individuals. Let's support a candidate who can deliver strong reforms, strong institutions and strong political policies that will force us all to conform automatically and align behind a progressive way of life.

The folks in the developed West are not more virtuous than we are. They had their historical problems with corruption and oppressive leadership also but the people never stopped fighting for change that eventually led to leaders delivering equitable, ordered and sane societies that worked for everyone and worked strongly against aberrant folks.

We don't wish to do that in Nigeria. We want to complain hypocritcally and blame others yet refuse to dedicate ourselves to agitating for the right things.

Perhaps it is because we hate each other and prefer blaming others for our woes instead of identifying common problems and demanding common solutions.

What needs to happen is that Nigerians must agitate for fundamental changes , that will apply to everyone, and automatically get our country working in a productive and progressive manner for all Nigerians.

First and foremost, we need a President who will know the right thing to do and will have the will and authoritative capacity to deliver it.

Per the undisputed reality of how we are a tribalistic and divided people, we cannot afford a President who is short of the combination of political will, vision and authoritative bravery and 'ruggedness' that will move Nigeria forward.

We are not united enough to bend leaders to our will. For example, Buhari can dismiss restructuring and get away with that because the North does not passionately want what the South does making it difficult for agitations to be united and strong enough to make Buhari bend to our collective will and not the other way round.

We should all forget nitpicking, search for a messianic Saint and ethnocentric pettiness. The glory of Nigeria will begin when we can get a President who knows what must be done and will arrive with the requisite will, capacity and authoritave ability to deliver required solutions. Everything else will follow from there.

A big example is how Nigeria would have been more secure today had GEJ had the balls and authority to deliver State policing , as was demanded of him back then, that Buhari or anyone else cannot come in to abolish.

I can bet any money that the Owo Massacre and many of such killings across the South would not have happened had GEJ delivered States or regional Policing that would be a decade old now.

Yet Jonathan, literally resulting in thousands of needless deaths, arrogantly announced "Nigeria not ripe for State police". Google it.

Yet Tinubu delivered and funded RRS in Lagos, a microcosm of State policing almost two decades ago.

Everything boils down to powerful and effective leaders making brave and sincere calls that will then positively affect how all Nigerians live permanently.

Especially in a country as divided, unpatriotic and self-destructive as Nigeria is.
We employed the APC with our votes, they have failed, it's time to sack them.

For the record, Igbos never participated in the struggle for the actualization of June 12. It was strictly a SW struggle with the support of very few northerners like Shehu Sani.

In fact, an Igbo man, Arthur Nzeribe was used to obtain a kangaroo court judgement stopping the announcement of the election and on that basis, the election was annulled. The Abacha regime was massively supported by Igbo leaders with cretins like Daniel Kanu and Ojo Madueke organizing 1million man match for Abacha when MKO Abiola was in detention fighting for his mandate.

Tinubu was an active member and a major financier of NADECO, the major organization that was formed to fight for June 12 and push for an end to military rule. Peter Obi Pandora was nowhere to be found during those dark military days. He never contributed to the fight against the military nor supported the struggle for the actualization of June 12.

Three regional homogeneity were established for administrative purposes. The Western region, Eastern and Northern region. These three had each of their leaders with legitimate authority over the affairs of each region such that an Awolowo would not interven in the affairs of the northern region neither an Ahmadu being nosy in the policy implementation of the east and west nor an Azikiwe in the affairs of an independent regions of the west and North. Of the three leaders, Azikiwe would not only 100% in control of his eastern region but had the insatiable covetousness of wanting to control the affairs of a region with which he had no homogeneity.

Azikiwe's greed and avaricious thirst for power, conquest and domination of other tribes would push him beyond his bound into the absy of nothingness.
Ahmadu Bello responded to the natural instinct of ibos in trying to hijack what belongs to the Northern indigenes to themselves. While Awolowo also responded by saying; “It seemed clear to me that [Azikiwe’s] policy was to corrode the self-respect of
the Yoruba people as a group; to build up the Ibo as a ‘master-race.’”

Awolowo and Ahmadu saw through Azikiwe and his kinsmen and put them where they rightly belong.

Just like candyman. Mention him and he will appear lol. I knew you'd show, as the egotist you are, once mentioned.

I have to say I agree with the part in bold in your post though. Collapse of Nigeria is inevitable.

We are being overrun by insecurity and terrorism while the centre looks on. Iliberal and selfish policies, to favour sectional agenda yet fails the majority and the masses, continue to stifle our economic prospects.

We have a Presidency simply insistent on refusing to do what is right and needed.

Next year we will gain a President who knows what to do and may have the authoritative capacity to do it but will not do it i.e Atiku.

Or a President who may know what to do but won't have the authoritative capacity to do it in Obi.

It could also be a President who does not know what to do and would not do it even if he knows what to do per Kwankwaso.

If you don't believe me, go and find Kwnkwaso's current submission for fighting insecurity , if he becomes President, revolving around the simplistic ruse of "more money to buy more equipment for the army".

Precisely the policy an insincere President would prefer rather than the fundamental and holistic changes that can deliver permanent solutions like State or regional policing as obtains in the USA, UK etal.

Or we could gain the best outcome with a President who knows what to do, has the capacity to do it and will not be prevented by anything or anyone from delivering what is needed for the progress of Nigeria and all Nigerians. That is Jagaban.

You speak like someone that has lost tune with reality. Is it the Tinubu that brought the Buhari that you're talking about? The Tinubu that lacks judgement of right and wrong? A drug lord that is no longer young and could support the killing of youths at Lekki toll gate? Is it the same Tinubu that can no longer walk without being supported? Some of you zombies are so daft. Just stop lying and tell us that you're an undercover Jihadists that wants Shettima, the Boko Haram kingpin to be your president. We are not fooled by the Tinubu front.

Yoruba started regionalization?. Lol.
Did you pass through school at all?
The British created three distinctive regions each with its regional leader. What justification had Azikiwe to maraud into another man's region while holding tight to his. There was never a time either of Awolowo or Ahmadu Bello sought to become the Premier of Eastern region. But Azikiwe wanted his 1945 speech to become manifest by supervising the domination of ibos on the regions across the country, he would disrespect the leaders of other regions and try to supplant them.

Amalgamation happened in 1914. Thereafter Nigeria operated several constitutions under different Governor Generals. Although Nigeria had been practicing some form of federalism under Sir Authur Richards in 1946, not until Machpherson Constitution of 1951 that gave birth to regionalism and regional autonomy.

Nigeria is at crossroads. This is no time for u to cry over some Yoruba vs Igbo vs Hausa/Fulani bull shit. Leave that for babies. Join hands with progressives let's salvage this country.
If u support BAT or anyone else, that's ur right & u r entitled to it but I strongly urge u to campaign for him objectively.
PO isn't ur problem, he is reasonably trying to sell his vision and candidacy to Nigerians which is rekindling hope that Nigeria's lost glory can be restored. At the same time he is energising the electorates and u can't deny the effects; a massive surge in PVC registration across most parts of the country.
Nigeria is in dire straits, quit playing trbal politics for now. Let's vote right & pray for the best else we will have no one to blame for the consequences of settling for less.
The mistakes of 2015 & 2019 impacted negatively on our national life setting us back to depths we've never experienced as a people.
