"The puzzle is: should Afenifere reject a Yoruba presidential candidate and embrace an Igbo flag bearer?

"Why has Afenifere abandoned Atiku for Obi?

"Atiku, at least, promised restructuring. What has Obi promised Afenifere?

Obi doesn't need to promise anything.
He has what Nigerian needs now which is frugality and proper management of available resources.

- What is the essence of restructuring when Naira is N1000/dollar?
- Obi can also ensure students return and remain in school.
- He has a clear plan to get 15 MW of electricity.
- He's also clean; even the nation knows this.

Only Kwakwanso comes close in terms of pedigree.
Atiku and Tinubu are expired and unsellable products.

When we refuse to be divided by religion, tribalism and corrupt politicians, when we rise with our PVCs, you will see Nigeria too rise in greatness. Join us to save Nigeria. Take back your country from the old thieves sucking your bloods and making you suffer. Sai Labour party, Sai ObiDatti, 2023. Nigeria belongs to the living, not the dead.

Same Afenifere playing mind games

Even professor banji of Yoruba Nation is codedly BATified

Don't be surprised Doyin Okupe is also a mole, as confirmed by Reno Omokirikiri and Kwankwaso, and he was the one who worked against the merger

Fayose and Seyi Makinde are for SWAGA23

You guys must understand Tinubu is like brother and family to them, they fought many battles together

They only hated Tinubu for supporting Buhari after all the atrocities he commited on Yoruba elders

I thought Nigeria is one indivisible entity, why play ethnic politics.
The Igbos voted for Obasanjo, Yaradua, Jonathan etc. @ the op, are you saying that there was no Igbo contestants during all the times all these past presidents were voted in by the Igbos?
No ethnic group in Nigeria believed in one Nigeria than the IGBOS and that is the reason they are in every state in the country making money and at the same time helping in the development of their host. It is injustice that is causing the clamouring for secession.

Jesusloveyou:
and obituary fail as a governor for 8yrs.

Go home & take a good look at your 80 year old grandfather, then you should honestly ask yourself if you would be happy if your grandfather was to be the president of Nigeria at his present state.
There's no difference between the health of your grandfather & Tinubu, the only difference is Tinubu has money to be flying himself to better hospitals abroad in order to cover-up his health issues.
Now the same Tinubu who brought poverty upon you, thereby making your grandfather unable to take care of himself like Tinubu, is still the same man who you want to support to lead you into more poverty & hardship.
You should really try to reason like someone who has sense.

Nation newspaper no get shame again. Afenifere is supporting Peter Obi because he is the best candidate. Who will see a good man and choose a bad man just because the bad man is from his tribe?

The parable of the good Samaritan tells us everything we need to know.

Fulani University students are also at home with the rest of the country due to ASUU strike. Suffering doesn't care about tribe...

"What the an elder sees while sitting, even a child that's standing cannot see"- African proverb. May God bless Afenifere, they r clamouring for equity. They spoke earlier saying it's the turn of the South, specifically the SE region to produce the next president. Also they see Obi as the most competent. When next it comes down south,SW should take it. Subsequent one should go to SS.
I wish rotational presidency can be enshrined in our constitution. Then other regions will back the most competent candidate from the region whose turn it is. Let there be sincerity and fairness in our dealings. That will help address the agitations that fuel insecurity.

Suffering and hunger has no language, tribe or brother.
The "nation newspaper" should be thrown in lawma head dustbin and flushed away.

Respect to Afenifere leader, Pa Adebanjo.

Salewa97:
It is Pa Adebanjo, his hatred for Tinubu is what is taking a toll over him.

He can’t influence any vote even in his own ward. So his endorsement of anyone carry no weight whatsoever.

On BBC Yoruba page, people lambasted Pa Adebanjo in defense of Tinubu and you can clearly see that Pa Adebanjo is just banking in the old Afenifere glory.

Since Afenifere is nothing, why is Tinubu's Nation News Paper bothered about their endorsement of Peter Obi?
