Please urgent reply. Just got alert on the account I deposited proof of funds, I deposited 15million it yielded about 53k interest. Hope this 53k interest deposited by the bank won’t be a problem because I have had a previous visit visa refusal due to huge deposit in bank statement.

Money Market fund with any investment managers would give you this. Do your research well though

Investment account can be presented as POF so long as you accompanies it with a letter from the managers that the funds are available on demand without delay. You can check on UKVI site of acceptable evidences.

my wife and I did our bio on 13/8/2022, sent paid mail on 29/8, replied that awaiting decision, sent today again, replied that “awaiting decision”.

Tomorrow will make it 15 working days and still awaiting decision. Just killing

Its actually the result of the increased interest rate CBN announced sometime last month to curb inflation by encouraging savings. Savings account interest is 4.2% per annum. It was lower before now.

It is so draining the entire process - from applying to university to paying initial deposit, getting TB test dates, biometrics capture date, getting the visa issued and flight out. Accomodation out there sef be wahala ...lets not lose hope.

If it does not argument POF (that's adding to it in order to meet the requirement), no. But in the case whereby the lump sum was made primarily as POF, then its an issue

I posted this earlier but I by 3.30pm I received a paid mail requesting for evidence of the gap years.

this is something significant I learnt from this incident.... until you application has return to VAC, there can be a paid mail even after 3 weeks of biometrics. Please be guided and ensure all your documents are intact including pof
