Good morning house! Pls I really need help coz I don’t understand again. I did Biometrics on 4th of January (priority Abuja) with my family. Priority is for main applicant. Got an empty NSF mail the next day and up till now nothing else. My application has been stuck at DMC. Did a paid mail on Monday and got a reply that it’s being considered and that I’ll hear back from them soon. My colleague who did his biometrics on the 11th (standard application) at same Abuja has a received his. So I just don’t understand what’s going on. Is this normal? Is it because I declared one US visa denial but I’ve traveled to the US several times too. Pls is there any other thing I should do? I really need help on what next to do. @dduchess and others pls help me!! Thank you all |

myhero: My little advice. 1. Do you have the cost for both deposits? if so move to 2 if not choose the one with a lesser cost 2. What is the balance payment plan Like ?.....choose the one that favors you if it aligns with your cost budget above 3. What are your future Plans .... Studying and leaving the UK or studying to work if studying to work or settling for one year is better if u have a good budget to accommodate since a study visa does not lead to settling unless you switch. 4. If you are fully aware of 1 to 3 above other things to consider are location, accommodation, job opportunities, and community. Best of Luck . Most times cost may be a major decider but in most instances, future plans overrule all. 2 Likes |

If you are close to lagos, i will suggest you go to TLS Ikj with this mail and documents. This happened to a friend in sept intake. He went to TLS and raise dust armed with a copy of the email he got to go to the TLS. The TLS escalated his case and he got collection mail within 3days. 6weeks after one of the dependants got her passport back. Worth a try Enishit: |

POE Alert!!! My MA just passed the POE at Heathrow London at 9.15 am Nigerian time after landing 2 hours before due to the crowd. The conversation below as described in her WhatsApp chat officer: Hello Good Morning MA: Good Morning Officer: Please drop your passport MA: Drops Passport officer: Where are you coming from? MA: Nigeria Officer: No...I mean where is your Flight coming from? MA: Oh! Nairobi Kenya connecting flight Officer:OK so Why are you here MA: I am here for my Masters's Programme Officer: What Course and Which School? MA: MSc Management Bloomsbury Institute London ... Officer: Which Degree did you acquire for your undergraduate? MA: BA Horticulture Officer: Flowers and Plants? MA: Yesssss(thinking that was all then....) Officer: Can you Mention the botanical names of some plants? MA: looks surprised but answers with You Say? Officer: Can you ...(pause and resumes)Give me the botanical name of four plants MA: ......Ermmmmmmm blows air out and Ermmmmm Rose...Rosa. mmmm Spinach ......Lactuca Sativur...sativa .....mmmmmmm Onion.....Alium Cepa ermmmmmm Officer cuts: Ok How can plants get their food? MA: Ermm from the Sun also from water, from carbon dioxide from the air, and microorganisms from the Soil Officer: OK Stamps passport hands it over you can Go MA: receives and looks at him Officer: Yes you can Go It was a really off-guard question hence why I Brought it here to share. Apparently all we rehearsed before she left like accommodation, how are you funding, what are you doing back in Nigeria, and all other personal stuff dint come out The lesson here is: Be prepared for anything as well as learn from others' experiences as much as you can get. 14 Likes 1 Share |

Hi Adewale, I hope your issue gets resolved soon. From all that you've said, I can't see any issue here. But remember that case workers are humans and the make mistakes and have their own biases even though there are policies they should be guided by. Now, technically, because she's had previous refusals, she would have been tagged as high risks - the question for them is, were those previous refusals warranted/legitimate. I'm sure you would be fine. What I would do in your case is to call them as many times as possible, send as many mails as possible until you get the answer you want. Another thing I will do is to barrage them beyond reasonable doubt that the child in question is indeed my child - ie provide as many documents as you can get beyond birth certificate. School correspondence addressed to either of the parents, pictures, hospital appointments from very early age, immunisation documents if you still have them. Best of luck. dewale1234: 1 Like 1 Share |

Hi, there are a few factors to consider but I'll list some of them and then you can do the consideration. 1. A 2yr course means that you'll be on 20hrs work restriction for 2 years during term time 2. There's a tuition fee gap between both schools. It might be small but its something. 3. Consider cost of living for the two cities 4. what's your wider family plan? and how does being a student for 2years (or 1 year) affect that? Lochinny91: 2 Likes |
