Yes! But they were not the only generals that were siblings! The Bamaiyis were brothers from the Zuru ethnic group in present day Kebbi State who enlisted into the army the same day and rose through the ranks same time.There was also this case of two major general siblings from Bayelsa State.

You're not correct sir. Ishaya Bamaiya was the former CO of the guards Battalion in Keffi during the time of Buhari as HOS.

He later rose to prominence as COAS during Abacha govt after his exploits in containing the April 22 1990 uprising led by the late Major Gideon Orkar while serving as the brigade commander @ headquarters 9 Mechanised Infantry Brigade @ Ikeja.

His Elder brother-Maj.Gen. Musa Bamaiyi was the then notorious NDLEA chair during the same era.They were striking with their trademark bicycle handle like mouthstaches.

I remembered when I went for the Nigerian army recruitment aptitude test at Ikeja cantonment.Some officers were calling names of selected candidates who were shortlisted for the aptitude test screen.One Fulani lieutenant was the one calling names in my state of origin.He couldn't pronounced the names of the candidates with English names fluently.He was just stuttering like Mr transmi..sorry transac..sorry informer..You all knew the former IG of police who was just misspelling words.
