I heard about this business called Amazon kdp


but I had to dig deep to find out how this business works. This is a business that has helped me and a lot of people but you must know what works and what does not work before doing it..



So before you jump into this dollar printing business…

Here are 7 things 80% of people won’t tell you about publishing low-content books on Amazon.



1. IT CAN TAKE A WHILE BEFORE YOU MAKE A SINGLE SALE:

Most people would tell you that once you publish books on Amazon…

You’ll start raking in dollars.

But here’s the thing...

You won’t, at least not immediately.

You may not make a sale for a while.


And it can be because of some reasons like:

⁃ Your book cover design may not be standing out.

⁃ Your book may not be quality enough to compete with books on Amazon.

⁃ You’re not promoting your book through ads.


So before you jump into this business, you’ll need to know that if your cover design isn’t standing out…

Your book may not get noticed and you won’t even make a single sale.

You should also know that your books must be of high quality.


It shouldn’t be poorly written and with the interior not looking professional enough.

This is going to affect your sales in a big way.

So if you have these two on lock, you’re good to go.

You may even outsource it and get someone who would be helping you with the designs while you focus on the



2. YOU WOULDN'T RECEIVE ANY MONEY TILL IT REACHES $100:

Before Amazon can pay you your royalties, everything has to be up to $100 for that month.

So if you started publishing on Amazon and you make $50 in your first month…

Amazon would hold onto it until all your royalties are equal to $100.

So that’s one thing you’ll need to know


Because of this...

It may take months before you get your first payment from Amazon.

But once you’ve published a good number of books and you begin to make constant sales…

You wouldn’t even notice that you need to have made $100 before you can get paid.


3. YOU MAY GET BAD REVIEWS ABOUT THE PRINTING QUALITY OF YOUR BOOK:

There’s nothing you can do about this.

This is just one of the things that you get with selling books through Amazon.

Because Amazon’s operations are so big...



They have multiple warehouses across multiple countries.

So the printing quality may differ across different places.

You can order the same book printed at different warehouses...

And the print quality may differ.



I’ve not had any personal experience with this but I’ve heard stories and have seen reviews…

Where the customer would complain that there were incomplete pages...

Or An ink stained on the book cover

Or reading a book and towards the middle is another new book entirely.



And when this happens, they will come to your page and leave a bad review.

It wasn’t your fault but there’s nothing you can do about it.

The reviews section is for a customer to come and leave a review of their experience purchasing through Amazon…

And that includes the printing quality too.

They have no idea that the book wasn’t made by Amazon but they leave their reviews there anyways

I know that this can be frustrating, but you can’t remove the review.




4. YOU NEED AN EXPERIENCE WITH GRAPHIC DESIGN:

One thing about publishing books is that...

The catchier your book cover design, the more sales you can make.

Our mothers always told us never to judge a book by its cover but we always do the exact opposite.

The thing is…


There are thousands of people uploading books on Amazon with wonderful cover designs

Don’t think you’re going to make any money with your book if your covers aren’t looking good enough

Even if what you’re publishing is a notebook..

Your cover should still look amazing because


It’s what customers see on the search results that’ll determine whether they’re going to…

⁃ Click on it.
⁃ Look into it further.
⁃ Or even buy the book.

People are not looking to buy ugly notebooks or ugly journals or any other type of low-content book you may be making.


So if you’re someone who’s already into design or you have an eye for design…

You’ll do well here.

But if you’re, no problem.

It may just not be your strength.

You’ll have to learn it and get better with time as you practice.


You may even outsource it and get someone who would be helping you with the designs while you focus on other things.
