The Vile Attack On The Memory Of Ihedigbo Mbaukwu's Mother Represents A New, Ter by Ngozimaduakor: 2:47pm On Aug 08, 2022
The vile attack on the memory of Ihedigbo Mbaukwu's Mother represents a new, terrible low for high ranking officials of the Abia State government.

1. My attention has been drawn to an infantile attempt to attack the personality of my long time friend, Ihedigbo Mbaukwu by persons suspected to be loyal to the Speaker of the Abia state House of Assembly, Mr Chinedu Orji and media officials in the office of the state governor, Mr. Okezie Ikpeazu.

2. It is unfortunate that these idlers could pin nothing on Mr Mbaukwu who has spent the last five years or more defending the rights of pensioners to their entitlements, teachers and other civil servants to their salaries

3. I find it very disgusting that rather than find a way of addressing the serial ills Mr. Mbaukwu has continually raised, these opportunists in power in Umuahia resorted to attacking the memory of Mrs Chidinma Ihedigbo who transitted this mortal plane in 2012.

4. The infantile press publication which I understand is the first in the series of sponsored smear campaign against Mr Ihedigbo never made mention of the fact that under Okezie Ikpeazu's reign, pensioners and civil servants are being sent to their untimely graves through a deliberate policy of starvation by the governor.

5. Nothing ever was said to address Mr Ihedigbo's insistence that the N200 million looted by senior officials tasked with setting up the Abia SME Bank must be returned and those who looted these funds be brought to book.

6. There was no attempt to explain in the very silly publication why the speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly is sweeping under the carpet, the investigative efforts to trace those behind this grand looting.

7. I am pained, not because officials in Umuahia elected to attack Mr Ihedigbo after several attempts to compromise him failed.
7b. No. That is to be expected. I am rather troubled that these oppornists in power chose to attack an innocent women who is no longer here to defend herself.

8. What has Mr Ihedigbo's paternity or a concocted story of a certain deity got to do with the fact that Mr Ikpeazu is starving pensioners, awarding fictitious contracts and siphoning funds using cronies?

9. I have known Ihedigbo for more than 20 years and we have remained close since. He has remained a man of great integrity and probity.
9b. I have watched him in several sensitive positions at Alayi, UNN and in several other places and he has demonstrated nothing but excellence and diligence.

10. Mr. Mbaukwu would not be detracted by the evil campaigns for which I understand hundreds of millions have been earmarked. He will continue to ask questions of those managing our collective patrimony.

11. He will not waver in defending the rights of pensioners and will continue along his self assigned task of demanding accountability from the kleptocrats in Umuahia on behalf of all Abians

12. I am glad that the authors of the evil mischief recognise the fact that Mr Mbaukwu has had a stable career in the banking industry which has spanned more than 10 years.

13. Can we for example know the reputable organisations any of Chinedu Orji or Okezie Ikpeazu worked for before joining politics under the Mamacratic reign of Mrs Eunice Uzor Kalu ?

14. Let the conversation start from there. Perhaps that would be more dignified than the recent silly attempt to harass the memory of Mrs Chidinma Ihedigbo.
