1. Lionel Malamed. Malamed was only 5 feet and 9 inches and weighed in at only 150 pounds during his playing days. During his short career he averaged 5.9 points and 1.4 assists. Malamed died on September 17, 1989.

2. Nate Robinson. Standing a mere 5 feet and 9 inches, Nate Robinson wowed NBA fans by winning the NBA Slam Dunk Contest in 2006, 2009 and 2010. Robinson was the 21st pick of the 2005 NBA Draft. He currently plays for Oklahoma City.

3. Calvin Murphy. Calvin Murphy is a true basketball legend despite being one of the shortest NBA players ever. He played for the Rockets and was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1993. Murphy is listed at 5 feet and 9 inches.

4. Yuta Tabuse. Another player who stands at 5 feet and 9 inches is the Japanese Yuta Tabuse. Tabuse appeared in four games with the Phoenix Suns. He holds the distinction of being the first Japanese player to play in the NBA.

5. Charlie Criss. Criss was a true NBA journeyman who played for the Generals, Hawks, Clippers and Bucks. He had career averages of 8.5 points and 3.2 assists per game. He was measured at 5 feet and 8 inches.

6. Greg Grant. A product of Trenton State College, Grant stood 5 feet and 7 inches. He played guard for seven different teams. He last played for the Denver Nuggets and was released in 1996.

7. Monte Towe. Towe had a short playing stint with Denver during the team's transition from the ABA to the NBA. He was first drafted by the Atlanta Hawks but ended up signing with the Nuggets. He was officially listed at 5 feet and 7 inches.

8. Spud Webb. Webb shocked the world by upsetting heavy favorite Dominique Wilkins during the 1986 Slam Dunk Contest. He played alongside Wilkins with the Atlanta Hawks for several years. He was just 5 feet and 6 inches and was one of the shortest NBA players.

9. Earl Boykins. Boykins currently plays for the Bucks. This talented point guard has a career average of 8.9 points, 3.2 assists and 1.3 rebounds a game. He is listed at 5 feet and 5 inches and is the shortest active NBA player.

10. Tyrone Bogues. More popularly known as “Mugsy”, Bogues was just listed at 5 feet and 3 inches. Despite his lack of size, this amazing point guard had a total of 39 blocks during his career. He has the distinction of being the shortest NBA player of all time.
