Can A Traditional Religionist Win The Nigerian Presidency? by Quintopia: 2:00am On Aug 09, 2022 |
With all these debates about 'muslim-muslim tickets', 'christian-muslim tickets', and 'christian-christian tickets', it got me wondering and thinking, ''we are in Africa, the home of African religion.'' Are you people trying to tell me that if I insist on worshiping an AFRICAN GOD, the God of my ancestors, that I will not be voted into office as president? That I cannot smell the presidency? That I must worship an imported God from Saudi Arabia or Jerusalem or Rome before I can lead my country? Here in Africa? Is that what you people are trying to tell me? And if I contest, whom do I pick as my running mate? A muslim or a christian? A fellow traditionalist? Will a trado - trado ticket be acceptable to Nigerian voters? If not, why not? How will a trado-christian ticket sit with Nigerians? Or a trado-muslim ticket? Will one of the two imported religions feel 'marginalised', and withhold their votes? How de we solve that conundrum? In fact, it seems we are lost in this country. |

I see some Obidient urchins being dismayed and masturbating with the viral song Emilokan, to set the record straight. All Peter Obi supporters will be disappointed come February 2023 election because Tinubu must be the next President of this Country. All Nigerian youths i implore everyone to come out and vote massively for Tinubu. He's been ordained by god already to take us to the promise land, Peter Obi is a failure and will continue to fail. Falseprophet1 confirmed it already Youths let us all say No to Peter Obi and their imaginary Obidient's. Enough is Enough 1 Like 1 Share |

GodsOwnMan: It's the result of military conquest, first by the Arabs in the 1750s and later by Europeans in the early 1900s. They forced us to accept those religions and abandon ours. The British, when they came, basically seized our resources, and access to those resources became dependent on receiving their 'western education'. To receive that education and become say a clerk or civil servant, you had to attend their missionary schools. To attend the missionary schools, you had to relinquish your traditional religion, convert to christianity, get 'baptized', and then given a foreign 'christian' name. It was mass conversion by economic coercion. They left the people with no choice but to convert to christianity. It was essentially convert or starve. Even the chiefs and traditional priests sent their children to the missionary schools. It was the economically rational thing to do. The ONLY reason we practice christianity and islam is because of our military defeat. NO OTHER REASON. Yet the way Nigerians carry these two foreign religions on their heads, you would think it was their ancestors who established them. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Truely, Religion the Opium of the Nigerian masses. Even on the day of swearing In of newly elected president at the Eagle square, I still wonder why the Chief Justice chose to use Imported Quran and Bible for the swearing In..........I mean, why not use home based Amadioha, Sango, Ogun and Ogbakiri combined to Swear these men In?? It is evident going by the ways of our Politicians, how they misappropriate pubic funds, Eat yams anyhow they like and get away with it, You swear them In with an imported Pamphlet and not the Trado way. Op, we might not have the Trado-Trado way yet, but for now, the way of Obidatti is the only way as far as 2023 Election is concerned. 2 Likes |

GOFRONT: I have no doubt that if our leaders were made to take their oath of office before traditional deities, ie before the AFRICAN GOD, there would be no corruption whatsoever in this country. In fact corruption would vanish overnight. Our leaders are stubborn, but I don't think their stubbornness has yet reached the madness point of breaking traditional oaths made before the gods! 1 Like 1 Share |

etrouble:Muslims don't fight you, Christians don't fight you cos you do not matter or pose a threat. ATR can never amount to something cos there is no goal, unity, synergy, rule or pattern to what you do or believe in. Every single traditionalist I have ever come across has just "Christianity being w white man's religion" as the only validation to his delusion. But the questions that we sane Nigerians are asking is what have you guys done, doing or would do to make NIGERIA a better place. ALAS.. No juju man has something to offer in this 21st century save backwardness. |

Why not not? If Sonyinka contested when he was younger he may win and if he loses wont be because he is a traditionalist after every African is a traditionalist. |

Important issue. I believe it cross many people's minds as well. From the look of things, almost impossible scenario. But we should be able to elect a traditional religious person as president. That was our beginning. 1 Like 1 Share |

D1official: Look at this raving ignoramus. Are you aware that almost the entire nation of the Republic of Benin next door, practise ATR (African Traditional Religion)? Are you aware that the Ooni of Ife regularly visits Brazil and the Caribbean nations to adoring crowds numbering among the millions who observe Traditional African Religion in those places? Those communities, are you doing better than them with your 'white' Jesus and Arab Muhammed? While they, the descendants of slaves revel in their ancestral faiths, in unity and cultural integrity, are you not here killing and hating each other over those two foreign imported religions? You see, the level of colonial brainwashing of you Nigerians is just tragic. 1 Like 1 Share |

Traditional people are claiming to be Christian and nobody is imposing it. It's either you identify yourself as a Christian or a Muslim. Every rational educated human being or unreligious being will identify easily with Christian faith unlike islamism. 1 Like |

D1official: But christians sacrificed millions of people during the 'Crusades' and 'Inquisitions', and the colonial conquests. Millions of men, women, children, and virgins were slaughtered. And christians still bow down to idols of wood, such as the wooden cross, of pagan origins. In fact you probably have a wooden cross across your neck right now. What makes your wooden idol better than my Ofo or Opon ifa? Because a white man gave it to you? How do you know what he gave you is the truth? Because his face is white? 1 Like 1 Share |

Quintopia: 90% of ritualists are traditionalists, 70-80% of your priests are illiterates. You wey no dey gree go villa na who dey pursue you?. MUMU. Have you asked yourself why what you adore so much thrives in darkness? Imagine using a hunger stricken and backward Benin as a reference to 1st world beings In the 21st century. Do you not know that one of the reasons why most Yoruba cities are backward is because of juju? Do you know any developed city in Nigeria or Africa where traditional religion thrives?. Nigga ATR is synonymous to backwardness and darkness and has no chance of survival in a cerebral society occupied by sane minds. Those who pilot it speaks volume for they all reek of ignorance. 1 Like |

D1official: A lot less than the millions of people christians have sacrificed in Yemen, Iraq, VIetnam, Libya, and elsewhere, where christian armies have committed mass slaughters and atrocities for the past 2,000 years. Your top christian nation, the USA has invaded or been involved in the invasion of 180 out of the world's 200 countries, killing hundreds of millions of innocent men, women, and children. You are a colonised and blind dunce, who can sniff out a few killings in his background heritage, and deride/scorn it, while accepting the wholesale slaughter of entire nations and people by his imported white religion. Can't you see you're sick? |
