To deceive, has been a thing that have existed since the creation of man.
All over the religious scriptures both Christian and Muslim we've seen people who have engaged in deceit, some are successful while it causes the doom and downfall of some.

In my own opinion, I think women are better in deceiving than men, because according to the scriptures - Bible and Quran, the woman learnt the art from the master of it - Satan, while the man learnt from the woman.
