Us Government To Censor The Internet by havoc37(m): 1:32am On Aug 04, 2011 |
A new bill has passed that would allow the government to watch the activities and history of internet users. They claimed it was to "protect prepubescent children from pornography" but the bill is worded in such a way that it gives the government access to everyone's browsing history and information. The liberals in several European countries have either already passed similar legislature or have plans on doing so in the future. The internet is one of the last bastions of freedom we have, and if this law comes into affect, the freedom we value so highly will be violated. This is just the beginning, the government already has the right to authorize extrajudicial assassinations of US citizens (source) and monitor our phone calls (source). For all we know next they might try to take away our guns (like the liberals did in Britain and Communist China) or take away our right to assemble. We must fight against this law and ensure that it never goes through. http://www.zdnet.com/blog/violetblue/how-the-new-8216protecting-children-bill-puts-you-at-risk/590 |
