When talking about the eye health of our beloved pets, causes of conjunctivitis in dogs is one of the most frequently encountered problems. There are several causes for it, but regardless, if you notice the animal’s eyes are red and its eyelids are swollen, you’ll know you’re dealing with it. The effect will be intense sobbing, burning, and itching for the dog.

1. Bacterial conjunctivitis.
A bacterium produces it. Although it is treatable and contagious, it is not connected to any other illnesses.

2. Conjunctivitis viral.
