Enugu East Senator and former Governor of the state, Senator Chimaroke Nnamani has once more asked his constituents to reject any pressure or sentiments on them to vote for the Labour Party Presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi in the February 2023 general elections.

Nnamani stated this in a statement he personally signed and made available to THISDAY in Abuja, yesterday.

He asked the people of Enugu East Senatorial District to remain steadfast with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidates to restore hope and emancipate the people from deprivation.

The Senator warned against Greek gifts from the “Obidients canvassers” claiming that it would negatively affect the PDP chances to produce state governors, senators, members of the House of Representatives and state houses of Assembly.

The Senator likened the Obidient movement to the story of the tortoise who borrowed feather from other animals to enable it fly to attend a feast only to appropriate what belongs to everyone to himself alone, claiming to be everybody.

He said, “That is exactly what they want. To borrow from every body and turn round to appropriate everything. Do not give them your feathers, let them Stay on the ground where they belong. Your feathers are the structures they need. Call their bluff.''

“Our party and platform is PDP. We must stand firm. We must not be swayed by the Obidient sentiments and vote Labour Part . If we blur the distinction, it will be difficult to reverse.''

“Remember these Obidients advocates are noisy, loud, intolerant, proselytisers, condescending but less than 0.25 per cent of over 200 million Nigerian population. At least Osun state 2000 votes for Labour Party bears it out.''

“Why should we establish foundation and beach head for others. We cannot allow Obidients to inherit our labour in the PDP.''

“In battle, do you give invaders your beach head to land and now seek to drive them away. We have to be on the alert because they are luring us into false sense of complacency using subterfuge.”

If u have a company would u recruit an individual like Tinibu to occupy a sensitive position? Let's for once be realistic. No one is shoving Obi down Ur throat, d way u are hyping Tinibu now is d same way others are hyping Obi. I'm kind of wondering how u intend to enjoy anything from Obi administration when u were not staying in Anambra state while he was a governor. That's not yardstick at all. It's like me saying I did not enjoy anything from Tinibu administration when I am based in Delta, therefore he is not fit for the position, how does it sound?

Tinubu is a liar with dead integrity. He bribed delegates to win primaries. He is morally rotten. He can't even say the truth about his age. He is also coming to continue where Buhari stopped. So, suffering and abuse of power will continue if Tinubu becomes president

Fact is Tinubu policies and legacies is beneficial to a Larger population of Nigerians that Obi can achieve. There are several beneficiary of his free waec, I'm benefiting the Lekki FTZ likewise everyone benefitting from the viability of business in Lagos and I can see the future of Nigeria tied to Lagos.
The success of Lagos is and has been beneficial to all of us . Why would anyone expect me to drop my support for Tinubu and start supporting Obi cause he's promising heaven and earth yet he's governed Anambra and I'm not benefitting from it and amidst all of the over hyping I can't see any remarkable project Obi initiated into the Anambra system that I know if he's given a bigger platform he'd replicate it. He's just selling integrity (another Buhari)lol . I don't even want to go there .
That's what Nnamani is saying don't follow the bandwagon because they are making noise .
