I have read so many write ups and comments about how Northern governors may influence voting pattern to favour Tinubu. Well it's quite hillarous and no convincing reasons are ever given for such claims. Well this is a clearer reason as to why the north will favour Atiku.

1. Atiku is a household name: Atiku is the most popular nothern politician after Buhari. This alone have placed him on an advantage.
2. Ethnic factor: Nothern presidential candidates don't lose their regions to outsiders. All they require is substantial votes from other regions to cement their victory. Buhari is a testimony to this one.
3. Nothern minority: Nothern Christians who accounted for 70% - 80% of Atiku's votes in 2019 are hard core PDP loyalists. This is the reason for Atiku's victory in christian dominated states such as Benue, plateau, Taraba and the Fct. Atiku won all of southern kaduna which is a christian area and lost slightly in Nasarawa due to a divided christian house Ombugadu Davematics and Labaran Maku factor.

The truth remains, Atiku will inherit about 60 percent of Buhari's votes losing some from the christian minority due to Obi factor. Always remember that nothern VICE-PRESIDENCY is not nothern PRESIDENCY. Shettima is not a popular candidate in the north and the average notherner does not believe in federal character (rotation of power).
Conclusion: Apc might be the ruling party but they will lose governorship seats in some states all thanks to the failure of the government at federal level to tackle insecurity and high cost of leaving. You need to go to a nothern market and listen to how these people rain curses on Buhari.
Tinubu's health condition is another big time spoiler for him over here.

Even kwankwaso won't get up to one third of atiku's vote. Notherners know he is not popular outside north.

Kwankwaso is just a media creation, he won't get significant votes more than Kano state, he is not as popular as Atiku in other North West states.

We just have two candidates -Obi and Atiku. They can negotiate before election and declare the younger president, case closed. The one wearing pampers is no longer in the race. We don't want an Egyptian mummy.

He is seriously strugling to maintain social media relevance.

kwanwaso have never been interested in social media validation, infact the northernerns don't

Its the south that does it for them, either way kwanwaso is very popular in the north especially north west

They see him like they were seeing buhari those days, (one with character and for the masses)

We all know kwanwaso himself know he won't make it in the south, so I see him stepping down for atiku when he has rallied North West for himself

An average northerns wants Nigeria to remain one, therefore they will not vote to replace a fulani man with another fulani man. In addition, they don't trust the IPOB-Backed candidate. The great northerners know that Asiwaju Tinubu is the man to unite Nigeria.

Bros, am a notherner. Born and raised in the north. His party doesnt have structure outside kano. Atiku has more foot soldiers and is clearly seen as a better candidate to represent nothern interest. Na only for all this kanawa boys mouth u go hear kwankwaso and no be all of them sef. 4 zamfara na mattawalle and atiku, same with bauchi, sakwato kebbi and minna. Minna pipu are voting Apc governor (bago) and pdp president.

The problem is that notherners wanted osinbajo not tinubu. But you people's choice of tinubu gave atiku the relevance he wouldnt have bn enjoying. Both christians and muslims were disgusted by tinubu's emergence.
