Governor of Lagos State, Mr Sanwoolu on a Tour of the Lagos RED LINE Rail Project which kicked off on the 15th of April 2021. The Tour Starts with the Agege Station, the Station shares the same alignment with the Babatunde Fashola Station built by the FG. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTVW10SZaVQ These buildings were built by the Lagos State Government for the Nigerian Railway Corporation Workers, Lagos Govt had to demolish their Staff Quarters to build the Ikeja Station, Now they have their quarters back & finer. The Lagos AUDACITY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ranYYHieKY We arrived at the ONGOING, Massive Ikeja Train Station, This will be our own Signature Train Station for the RED LINE Rail Project. It’s exactly beside the Ikeja Bus Station when driving towards the Local Airport. Project started by Governor @jidesanwoolu last year https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8ZboelBVl0 https://thisweekng.com/2022/08/14/sanwo-olu-tours-the-lagos-red-line-rail-project/ THE IKEJA TRAIN STATION: This is what the Ikeja Train Station will look like after completion, This Iconic Station will be the Main Station for the RED LINE Rail Project. A Lagos State Government Protect. This is different from the Blue Line. The Mushin Train Station The Construction of the Mushin Train Station is almost done, A lot of clearing has been done here, compensations paid .. Work Moving Smoothly with the vehicular overpass ongoing too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VeoCCscfUp0 MUSHIN: The ONGOING Construction of the Vehicular Overpass at Ogunmokun Street, This Overpass would drop into Agege Motor Road from Mushin and also to Ikorodu road (Onipanu) on the other side. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3S7D4czdydU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3S7D4czdydU Continuation: Governor @jidesanwoolu arrived at the Yaba Train Station, The existing Bus Station will be linked to the Train Station, the markets on the rail will be totally cleared off and a very large pedestrian area will be created. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOTytB4zH3I YABA TRAIN STATION: The existing Bus Station which was commissioned by Governor @jidesanwoolu on (15/06/2021) will be linked to the Train Station, the markets on the rail will be totally cleared off and a very large pedestrian area will be created. YABA TRAIN STATION : There is a Flyover ongoing at Yaba Linking into Tejuoso, Meaning that, You can just drive into Ojuelegba road thru that flyover, Train movement wont disturb people going to Ojuelegba & also people linking back to MM Way, Ebute Metta. YABA TRAIN STATION: This is what the Train Station will look like after completion, that overhead design will act like a walkway linking the existing Bus Station directly to the Train Station, From Train to Bus, From Bus to Train .. Easy Movement. EBUTE METTA STATION: If you look deeply & closely at the first image, you will see a green building, that is the Ebute Metta Station, it links directly beside the Fire Station that links to Mainland LGA Office (towards Railway compound gate). EBUTE METTA STATION: This Flyover comes all the way from Muritala Muhammed Way, links into Apapa Road & also from Apapa road towards Iddo, this will eliminate the hold up at Oyingbo Junction by First Bank, also reduces Train/Vehicle interaction by far. EBUTE METTA STATION: You can see the First Bank by Oyingbo junction near Denton Police Station. The Flyovers will reduce travel time for people linking MM Way to Apapa road and Apapa road facing Iddo. DEADLINE (RED LINE RAIL): Governor @jidesanwoolu says the deadline of “First Quarter of 2023” stays. He says the Physical Infrastructure is supposed to be all cleared up by the end of the Year, while others parts, like testing and co continues by January. MARKETS ON THE RAIL: Governor @jidesanwoolu says the traders by the rail seen at the Agege & Yaba Station have reduced and they are only enjoying the last moment, He says the Stations will be walled off and a large pedestrian area will be created for Yaba Station. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbawYrtJErQ
