Anambra State University is the only University that is under ASUU and is not on strike. The other universities in session are not under ASUU. ANSU belongs to ASUU and is not on strike because the union is satisfied with their funding and budgeting. And that is what Obi did. 1 Like

We have gotten to a point in this country where the public universities dish out mediocre education and mediocre graduates while the private universities are well funded and give quality education. The rich now send their kids to the private universities while the poor go to public universities to get mediocre education in a poor environment. Yet, the kids of poor people will compete for jobs with the children of the rich. Obviously, the children of the rich will get the best jobs while the children of the poor will get jobs that best suits their status, keeping them perpetually poor and repeating the vicious cycle of their parents. ASUU is fighting a good cause. Proper funding of our universities, better pay for lecturers. Quality education is not cheap and school fees can't remain cheap if quality education must be maintained. Even with ETF and tetfund support, education is still under funded in Nigeria. 1 Like |
