Anambra now has an airport, if they are serious they shoulod extend their services to Anambra as it will be easier for Anambra passenger to fly to Lagos and board a plane abroad than first traveling to Enugu to board a flight abroad and still stopover in ethiopia.

They won't for several reasons :

1. Most who can afford to travel out live outside the yeast. So why go back to the yeast, risking body parts and life to travel out owing to the growing insecurity there?

2. It costs more for Yeasterners who reside outside the yeast to board a flight to Enugu to catch up with their flight. At 200k for a domestic flight and adding hotel bills, it makes no sense to travel down to Enugu to board a flight.

3. Okoro drug peddlers have it hot in Enugu as there is currently a standing order to all NDLEA officials stationed in Enugu that any case of apprehended drug traffickers caught in their transit or final destination who boarded from Enugu will result in serious disciplinary probe that may not only see them lose their job but be jailed for aiding and abetting Okoro drug pushers. So at the screening point in Enugu, the NDLEA officers leave no stone unturned and subject every single passenger to a very thorough search. This makes travelling via Enugu airport extremely hectic from the point of view of simply trying to go through security checks.
The drug peddlers have since abandoned Enugu but the NDLEA treats every okoro irrespective of age, status, gender as a potential drug mule. Who then will like to be subjected to that?

So this is why even those in the yeast will prefer PHC, Lagos or Abuja than Enugu.

In actual minimum international standards, Anambra international airport is the actual international airport while enugu airport is a local airport. It doesn't matter if Ethiopia is there for now, but you need to compare the facilities. Anambra airport has longer and wider runway than enugu airport. Anambra international airport has water treatment plant, tallest control tower, aviobridges, etc, while tanker water supply is still the main source of water supply at enugu airport. Very soon air France, lufthanza and even Ethiopia airline will open in Anambra international airport.
