Guy Kawasaki's 10/20/30 rule of PowerPoint. While this is mainly for pitches and not the usual unending slides in a class that seems to never end. You could still apply some of its principles outside of a pitch.

Underlying magic/technology
Marketing and sales

Team
Projections and milestones
Status and timeline
Summary and call to action

+ 20 minutes for the actual presentation. Perhaps more practice will make it possible

+ 30-point fonts - which means only details that are relevant to the presentation and not the moonlight tales of Korg about Thor.
