Tokunbo is not an option, but I was told I can get neatly Nigeria used of Camry 08 and Corolla 010 at that price.

Now, my problem is that, I don't know which to pick.

Note: I don't go out often. Maybe 30mins to 1hr drive daily and our road is bad.

U'll be lucky to get a Nigerian used corolla 010 at that price... An 06 Nigerian used corolla goes for between 2.3 to 2.6m

Raise your budget by a factor of 500-1m to get a decently used unit

When buying a car of your choice ensure that it meets physical condition of your environment and also financial condition too.

If your road is bad corrola or the Camry are rugged cars no doubt but it will increase your financial budget of maintenance.

You must consider fuel economy, although that depends on the vicinity you are staying,if you dey Lagos both corrola and Camry are good fuel economist, but the corrola has it more.

The budget you have is good one but I will advice you save more and buy a tokunbo, use that time of saving more to wait and see if something will happen to the condition of the road you mentioned earlier.


It is true you might not have much place to go but I gurantee you when you get a car alot of places will pop up in your mind to go to.

Cost of spares and availability must be a factor you must consider, although in Nigeria Toyota parts are readily available, but for the both cars weigh which one is more cheaper, bad roads consume shocks absorbers and shafts quickly.

Your money can get you a clean used 08 camry.search well and inspect.i know peeps who got for 2m and 1.8m clean used 2008 camry.na the 010 and 011 cost pass no fear

@topic, Corolla isn’t anywhere near Camry in aesthetics or comfort or performance but it’s cheaper. That said, pls do well to verify that the car has all its documents intact and you meet and conclude with the owner before parting with cash.

I'll get a Rav4 or CRV if I were you for small floods and potholes

If extremely bad roads (muddy/unpaved rough roads), 4runner or Pathfinder V6 just do regular oil change to avoid sludge, it'll be fine
