Siemens innovation is located in the north only. Akk gas project is to power it. Steal from the south and develop the north. As usual insurgency will still destroy all the investments due to lack of education and religious tolerance. Peugeot will understand, railway industries getting the point now. |

SmartPolician: What are you saying?? This arrangement with Siemens started in 2019, spearheaded by Abba Kyari before he died in 2020. And I had a purview to that arrangement. I am not a fan of the APC but the facts need to be stated. Stop been a tool of propaganda. Your moniker says you are smart politician, but I am afraid you are displaying otherwise. Please reflect your moniker and show that you are indeed smart. 1 Like |

Realist12:While it will be a good thing if power supply improves, as at the time I left the hell hole last week to clear my head there was less than 3hr electricity per day. Continuous diesel burn. Any heavy spending these politicians do now is to accumulate money for 2023 elections while plunging the country into more debt. |

Yankiss: You're a blatant liar. This is the first government that has been sincere about projects. Every of their projects are verifiable not those in PDP era. Show me one that's is false in those projects listed. Most of you are less educated. Been against government doesn't mean you shud not appreciate good moves. Mumu |

babzo:At the bolded statement, I laugh at folks that say Lagos is rich. A sub national government who’s capital budget for a year is barely above 1 billion dollars if not less considering the Naira devaluation. The budget to be spent on a population of more than 23 million people, very laughable. Johannesburg is budgeting close to 4 billion dollars for a population of just about 13 to 14 million folks and even that it’s still not sufficient according to the Provincial Government of Joburg and people are talking about the Lagos success story, what success story? The only thing keeping Lagos head above water is her population which draws businesses. Even the population In itself is increasingly depressed and lack that consumer spending power that it once had prior to 2015. Lagos is not rich, it’s not even successful at the moment. It’s only looked promising on paper but that promise has been just that, a promise. A population that is largely poor can’t make a city like Lagos rich. |

TheRareGem1: Yes, debt laden infrastructural strides that contains a lot of waste. Also, many could have been carried out in far more cost effective ways. For instance, $1.5b was borrowed to rehabilitate Port Harcourt refinery. The appropriate approach was to sell it as it is to a private company and let the new owner revamp it. Any debt the new owner borrows will be on their books and not the government. Could these power projects be handled by a private company? If yes, then government carrying it out with borrowed funds isn't prudent. Borrowed money has to be repaid and presently, government revenue is insufficient to even service debt! More borrowing isn't prudent. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Talking of infrastructural development, the wicked APC regime actually tried in all honesty. Just that Satan really dealt with them such that Nigerians never appreciated the few good works they have done in some areas. It should be a lesson to the incoming government, whoever wins. Even if you cut out your heart to make sure a particular sector moves, if your economic team and security architecture is zero, Nigerians will never appreciate your value. MoneyMustBMade:There are no truer words. Imagine if APC fielded Osibanjo and Zulum, a non-allied politician with detribilized views, it would have been a tough call for the Obi/Datti movement. Infact, Atiku should not have bothered campaigning. |
Re: Siemens Power Initiative: FG Investing $2bn In Distribution, Transmission by VanuatuWycombe: 1:23pm On Aug 24, 2022 |
2043? Why can’t FG allow private sector to intervene in our needs for infrastructure? It shouldn’t take up to 10 years to get at least 20% of our infrastructure needs if work is on non-stop. What the FG is doing is just another talk-shop. Nothing, I repeat, nothing will come out of it. |
Re: Siemens Power Initiative: FG Investing $2bn In Distribution, Transmission by aariwa(m): 1:25pm On Aug 24, 2022 |
This is scary so if Peter Obi had not mentioned Siemens and how he intends to generate power, this government would not have woken up to needs of Nigerians after 7 years? So if PO had not mentioned that NNPC is no longer doing remittances and that Nigeria debt profile is in junk status , servicing debt profile FG would not echo same 3 weeks after? This is scary that this scary that it took a Presidential candidate to wake buhari government after 7 years because when I heard PO saying those things during arise interview about 2 months ago I thought it wasn’t true. |

Mamaafrik1:Of course, the court just granted Lagos state right to generat/produce their own energy/power. True federalism is here, look inwards, your state government/governor is who you should blame if they can not provide these things for you, of course FG too carries part of the blame. |
