If you add all the billions fleeced by different politicians, MDs and EDs of MDAs since 2015, it will run into trillions of naira. If you now add the ones by the executive and military. Nigerians wont be suffering now. Its a pity such monumental corruption by those supposed to be fighting corruption. |

FreeStuffsNG "NDDC is mostly in the news for corruption than its actual intervention programs." I agree 100%. I did a search today to determine why NDDC was created for. And here is what the research shows: To offer a lasting solution to the socio-economic difficulties of the Niger Delta Region and to facilitate the rapid and sustainable development of the Niger Delta into a region that is economically prosperous, socially stable, ecologically regenerative and politically peaceful. Has the above purpose --that led to the creation of NDDC been fulfilled? The short answer is no. The agency was created in 2000 by OBJ government to develop the region, but as many reports have shown, not a single improvement has come to the region. Cross River state road to Akwa Ibom State is dead trap today. Report said over 100,000 Nigerians are losing their lives in CRS to Uyo road each year. Roads in Niger Delta states are in terrible states. Bridges are in terrible state as well. Year after year when new director is appointed, fake contracts are awarded to cronies and friends to the directors. Mr. Godswill Akpabio who was the niger Delta minister-- role aimed at helping the agency to develop played a spoiler role than helping the agency. He spent 3.5 years complaining and got nothing to show for. So, this miss management of NDDC tells you why Nigeria is not working for Nigerians. It is corruption. It is selfishness. It is chaos. It is confusion. That is why NDDC is a failure. I like to see the agency shutdown for good. It is not addressing the purpose of which it was created for. Why keep funding such institution? 1 Like |

In a regime that was supposed to correct the wrongs of the previous as concerning corruption amongst others for which it was voted in. Nigerians are clearly saying all these do not matter and they will risk continuity with a new driver in 2023.... just amazing... chai. Folks, it is what the people tolerate that will be their experience. No nation on earth in all history was developed against the will of the people. It is not possible for any leadership in minority to succeed at anything without the complicity of the citizen majority. |

They should also come to the NEDC there is a huge fraud there, they a digging a lot of useless substandard solar boreholes that can't last more than a week, some you can't even see one drop of water, they would only come and take pictures and carry every essential things and go away especially in Damaturu town 1 Like |

Nigerians in government establishments don't steal small, but bigger and bigger, leaving the rest of the country wretched. Can this country ever be delivered from the evil morass of corruption which has pervaded every nook and corner of its economy? I strongly doubt this. |

Do you know most liabilities can be turned into an asset? Take for example your phone. Most of people have a smart phone and they are still poor. All they do is use it to beg online and borrow credit from Network providers. There are some people like you, who are using their phone to make lots of money online. Take for example, one of my student makes 500 dollars to 1k dollars from uploading simple document on amazon with her phone in 6 weeks. Crazy shit. That's like 35k into almost 700k. |
