Your comment about Yoruba Muslims is simply the ignorance manifested by people who think people vote purely on ethnic and religious lines because that is how they vote.

Youve jumped to the conclusion that Yoruba will vote Tinubu because he is Muslim. Yorubas will find this hilarious. You have never lived amongst Yoruba for up to 6 months as you'll realize as ludicrous this sounds.

Tinubu is a Muslim and his wife is a Christian. Fashola's father is a Muslim while is his mum is a Christian. Wizkid also comes from a Muslim/Christian mixed marriage. Yorubas are liberal and can't be pigeon holed by religion. Yorubas are not the most observant of Muslims. Northern Muslims don't respect them. They drink alcohol freely and some rear pigs.

A Hausa Muslim is a Hausa man to a Yoruba. The Muslim bit means nothing to him. I'm Yoruba and my cousin who is a Christian is voting Tinubu. Many are like him. He isn't motivated by religion.

Tribalism may play a bigger part but I doubt that significantly. In 2011, Goodluck Jonathan won all Yoruba states except Osun state and that was due to Governor Aregbesola's popularity at that time to vote for Nuhu Ribadu.

Is Nuhu Ribadu not Muslim and Yoruba's voted for GEJ, a Christian. If GEJ had not failed so miserably during his tenure by allowing corruption and a state of cluelessness to run out of control and rein in the BH terrorists on time, the Yorubas would not have ditched him in 2015. What I wrote was the Blunt truth. His only saving grace is that he has proven to be a Saint when compared to Buhari's mind blowing incompetence.

During GEJ'sgovernment, registering a new company was a nightmare. It was so bad at times that prospective foreign investors decided to call it quits.

Nothing ever really got done because his government unwieldy, disorganized, confused and very corrupt. Even OBJ was compelled to write an open letter.

Again, his government was heaven when compared to Buhari's incompetence. Even this government is very corrupt. His only saving grace is his principled character and the numerous debt laden capital projects which portray him as "performing. This government has prove. to be a nightmare.

GEJ government was corrupt and I must admit that. But there were alot of things going on well then. Inflation was kept at berret minimal and the people at least had life bearable. Tinubu and buhari sponsored alot of lies against him that till tomorrow could not be substantiated and the boko haram incidence like the chibok case was too ugly and shameful.
