Obi speaks.

Peter Obi has declared that the country does not need a president that will be carried in wheelchair.

“We also don’t want one that would be carried to this place in a wheelchair, but must consider his capacity, competence, integrity and commitment,” Peter Obi was quoted to have said.

That's how they said about Buhari. But he is well and strong today. God is the giver of life. The man saying this rubish does not even know when he will die. This kind of talk is hatred and bitterness. It does not work.

Some empty head are not even looking at the real pictures they are looking from the angle of the tribe. Who even told them that any tribe can’t be president of a country he comes from: I mean this isn’t even about tribes he comes from. This is about who he is and what he can achieve for Nigerians. I’m a Yoruba man from Ikale Ondo state and I will totally say. Peter obi is the best candidate so far Nigeria political party has ever produced,

Wheelchair is even better he can be sitting in the office on the wheelchair.

We don't need a president that will be ruling from a London hospital

Nigeria is already on a life support, having a president that will be on life support too will be a disaster for the country

OBIDENCE is better than SACRIFICE

You could see how negatively it affected us, a younger Buhari would have performed better than the aged Buhari, don't you think, you could disagree with me but obviously not to yourself.

Just as so many people have been criticizing Peter Obi for being intellectually shallow and incapable of anything more than uttering ridiculous soundbites, here he goes and confirms everything the critics have been saying! What on earth has a leader's being in a wheelchair got to do with leadership? If Peter Obi weren't such an ignoramus, he'd have known that Franklin Delano Roosevelt - America's greatest president of the 20th century, who led the USA to victory over Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan - was wheelchair bound for the entirety of his presidency. Nigerians would count themselves blessed thrice over to have the good fortune of enjoying such visionary and steadfast leadership.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paralytic_illness_of_Franklin_D._Roosevelt

The bottom line that all the low-IQ Zombidiots seem incapable of processing: the presidency is not a wrestling match or a bodybuilding competition, and it cannot be decided by shallow physical qualities (as if the pot-bellied Obi were some sort of amazing physical specimen to begin with). Posting unflattering pictures of rival candidates may make you feel good about your crooked, third-rate opportunist of a tribal champion who jumps from party to party in search of self-advancement, but it won't convince anyone with a working brain that a compulsive liar with no identifiable beliefs can in any way become a "savior" of anything other than his own pockets.

You have a severe dislike of Peter Obi. Is it because of the Pandora papers? Or his trip to Egypt to understudy the power generation and distribution there might be a reflection of how much or how little he knows? I wondered why Egypt of all places? A country with an overbearing state, extremely bloated civil service and one that subsidies food?

Why not Rwanda? Why not Georgia or New Zealand?

It's not so much Peter Obi himself that I dislike, as the general air of mendacity, empty bluster and character assassination that has enveloped his campaign from the very beginning. The incessant propaganda from his zealots rankles me because they've wrapped a turd up in a fancy box and are now insisting that we all say it smells as sweet as a rose, even when it clearly stinks to high heaven.

How is it that a man whose term in office actually overlapped with Tinubu's, and who ran as Atiku's Vice Presidential candidate just 3 years ago, is now being sold as "new blood"?

How is it that a 61 year old man is being sold as a "youth" as against the supposedly ancient 69 year old?

How can a man who was caught red-handed in 3 separate acts of corruption (N250 million cash in Lagos, putting government funds into personal businesses, violating Nigerian disclosure laws as witnessed in the Pandora Papers) be promoted with a straight face as an "upright" politician who will cleanse the Augean stables of Nigerian politics? Peter Obi has been caught red-handed in corruption many times more than the "Tinubu" and "Atiku" that Obi's zealots insult day and night!

Where was Peter Obi's supposedly principled "hatred of "corruption" when he agreed to be Atiku's running mate in 2019? Did Atiku only just become a crook after that date?

How can one herald as a man of "principle", a person who swore he would never leave the APGA which gave him his start, then broke his oath by jumping to the PDP, and later, upon realizing he stood no chance running directly against Atiku, has now fled to the Labour Party? At least Atiku stuck to just 2 parties, while Tinubu, whom the Obi fanatics hate with such ferocity, stuck with a single party even when PDP hegemony seemed unchallengeable (the APC is the direct descendant of Tinubu's ACN).

How can anybody promote as a man of "strong beliefs" a businessman who, having made so much of his supposed "small state" tight-fistedness, now throws in his lot with a welfarist Labour Party whose stated anti-business, pro-worker principles are the very opposite of the right-wing, business oriented, low-tax-and-spend politics Obi made such a fuss about representing?

As yet, Peter Obi has been unable to give a single clear, unambiguous answer to what exactly he plans to do with power if he should win the presidency, let alone how he intends to get any of his policies through a House and Senate where his Labour Party will have next to no representation. All he does when asked questions is go on irrelevant tangents full of hot air, and he seems utterly incapable of resisting the urge to spew brazen falsehoods to make up for his lack of substance and general unwillingness to risk alienating any supporters by adopting any clear positions. Take all the empty hype away and all one is left with is a candidate whose sole appeal is one based on tribalism, on the general Igbo feeling that it is "their turn" in a "turn by turn, you chop I chop" view of politics. Tinubu wants to massively increase education spending and broaden the tax base, while Atiku wants to shrink the state by privatizing and deregulation, but what does Obi stand for once you take away the hot air about "youth" and "eliminating corruption" (as if we hadn't heard that one before)?

This is the very worst of corrupt, idea-free, tribalistic politics being dressed up as a virtuous, youth-led crusade, and his supporters make matters worse by incessantly spamming every social media forum they can find with insults, threats, blatantly fake "news", religious and tribalistic calumnies, and an outright idolatrous attitude to a man who has been feeding from the public trough right alongside the other 2 candidates they call thieves. They insult everyone else's intelligence by acting as if they can package a corrupt mediocrity as a brilliant, saint-like, once in a lifetime phenomenon, when it's clear to anyone not caught up in their hype that Obi is in many ways the least appealing of the top contestants, given his lack of core principles, his forgettable performance as a governor, his undeniable corruption, and his inability to get anything done even if by some miracle he should manage to fool enough people into giving him a victory.

As much as I concur that's there's a lot of hubris surrounding Peter Obi, he did prove to be a prudent manager of funds as governor in Anambra. That's actually the root of his popularity.

Nevertheless, as you have reiterated, people know what he is actually bringing to the table. That question was missing regarding Buhari. His fans touted his incorruptible and principled character during his short stint as head of state in the 1980s and expected him to clean the augean stable of the fantastical corruption the nation was swimming in. I thought he would appoint technocrats and give them the independence and room to do their work. i was not even a teenager when he was booted out of office in 1985.

Not all were fooled. Those old enough to fully remember his stint in power were not worn over. His economic qualifications should have become a source of concern when Atedo Peterside referred to him as an "economic illitrate (I deliberately misspelt the word as it may be too harsh). I thought he'd appoint a world class economist and give him or her room to achieve astounding results. I was expecting a Pau Kagame

He was no Kagame. He is obstinate in his ignorance. Within 30 days of assuming office, Soludo and Lamido Sanusi were already crying out loud. Soludo called his economic policies statist while Sanusi urged his advisers to tell him the truth. He was a collosal mistake. I wrote off the economy once he pegged the Naira. Would you imagine he barred people from depositing forex into their bank accounts, an amateurish attempt to stop money laundering.

It would amaze you that Emefiele said he would have resigned if Buhari had not called off his plan to introduce new Naira notes!

Anyway, Peter Ob, i though we'll read, still needs to elaborate and inform the electorate of his plans were he to assume office. Anyway, he isn't getting there. His base isn't large enough to guarantee victory
