Seems a lot of people don't understand that these ladies are not conventional police office and not on the NPF payroll.

They are supernumery police (SPY) police. Their suspension does not affect their primary occupation.

They were not impersonating! They are officers of the Nigerian police force but under the Supernumerary police unit. The Police act 2020 is very clear on this. It covers issues relating to appointment, ranks, discipline and uniforms as relating to Supernumerary police officers. Please read it, and educate yourself before you rush to pass judgement and labelling them as "only spy police".

Rules can be amended. Rules are executed by humans, so logical thinking is also required to implement rules. And if a rule is out of touch in today's society, it should be changed. I don't know the police force rules, but am 100% in agreement to what Daddy Showkey is saying. This suspension is uncalled-for. And just like you have the right to air your view so does Showkey.

1. I am telling you what the police said. Not what i think. WHAT THE POLICE SAID.

a. Spy police has its own separate uniform which is not the same as that of the conventional police. Spy police are not authorised to use any of the conventional police uniforms.

Wearing it is impersonation.

b. One of those ladies put on a rank higher than her Spy police rank. That is also impersonation.

So what are they? Are they not Special Constabulary of the Nigerian Police force? Are they special Constabulary of the Nigerian Navy or airforce?

Why is the NPF always quick to make a distinction between them (Supernumerary and special Constabulary) and the regular personnel when genuine issues arise?

When the special constables protested they were quick to come out to make a statement that those are not real NPF personnel. The same thing with this viral videos. Oh they are Spy officers and different from the regular personnel.

The question is who trains these officers? Who is responsible for their professional conduct and issues of discipline? Is it the Road safety or LASTMA?

Why cant the Police leadership take responsibility for their failures and address the main issue instead of conveniently pointing fingers and playing the blame game?

The hard truth is that the image of the Police is being battered on a daily basis by men and officers of the NPF with their unprofessional conduct and the public is not stupid. They are the ones who encounter them and bear the brunt.
