If you're into electronics, you'll agree that we're currently living in the golden age of makers. Instead of building a PC or a graphics card by yourself, you can now face pretty cool electronics projects. And these are the best DIY electronics projects for beginners!

#1 Mini LCD screen with Arduino
This is a fun and easy project to start if you are learning about electronics and Arduino. This project replaces the display on your Arduino Uno with a 16×2 LCD screen. The standard Arduino library includes a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) control function. It takes 8 control lines: 4 data lines, 2 enable lines, 1 clock line, and 1 “register select” line. You can also use the “shift in” (SerialData) and “shift out” (SerialOut) pins from the Arduino board to easily display text messages.

# 2 DIY Arduino Music Box.
Electronic enthusiasts can build an Arduino music box with a piezo speaker. The assembly is very easy and does not require deep knowledge of electronics.
The piezo speaker is a type of flat ceramic sound transducer, but can also be used for vibration. It gives out a signal when it vibrates so that it can be used as a substitute for a speaker.
The speaker has 3 legs, 1 is positive, 1 is negative, and the other is ground. The capacitor is polarized, that's why you need to connect the positive leg from the piezo speaker and the negative one from the Arduino Nano to the capacitor, which already has one of its legs connected to the ground so you can get rid of it.

# 3 3D Printer
If you don't have a 3D printer yet, it's time to buckle up. To get the best value from this technology, the first thing to do is to start with a small and cheap model. The first model we see is the XYZprinting da Vinci Jr. 1.0 3D Printer. This is a reliable model for beginners; it costs about $150 and comes with a cartridge of PLA filament that can work for about 100 hours. With it, you can print objects with a maximum height of 140 mm, a width of 120 mm, and a length of 110 mm. If you want more precision, consider purchasing additional filament with a diameter of 1.75 mm. As the name suggests, this printer comes with an auto-calibration function that helps to avoid problems during the printing process.

# 4 RTL-SDR
SDR stands for Software Defined Radio, and it means that rather than having a separate hardware device to handle each frequency range, the SDR can be programmed to handle any frequency by changing the software. So you need one piece of hardware, and then you can set up whatever frequency range you want. The device that we use is called an RTL-SDR. This inexpensive USB dongle can work with a Windows PC or even an Android phone with the proper software installed. It's great for the DIY electronics enthusiast because it means you don't have to buy any extra hardware to hear different frequency ranges. Everything you need is in one little USB dongle.

5. Raspberry Pi Turntable
Raspberry Pi Turntable is one of the best DIY projects for programmers and technology enthusiasts who want to enhance their audio experience. Making a DIY turntable using a Raspberry Pi opens endless possibilities for customization. The project is a fun and interesting way to add a new dimension to your music. Plus, you’ll gain valuable technical skills (useful in your career) and learn about electronics,
programming, and 3D printing while saving money.
The project is based on open-source software, there are plenty of available tutorials on the web that will help you start from scratch, build your Pi-based turntable, or simply upgrade it with new features. If you are not skilled with computers and programming, don’t worry! The DIY grove community is quite active in social media and forums that assist with any difficulties you might face during the project. Even if the final result doesn’t look as good as it might have, it will still be much better than any previously-made turntables.

6. DIY Walkie Talkie
With the invention of smartphones and other portable devices, a new way of communication has evolved over the years. With the advancement of technology, you do not need to carry your own walkie-talkie in order to communicate with someone from a distance. Most modern-day cellular devices have built-in communication capabilities that enable users to contact each other from a distance. If you want to know how to make your own walkie-talkie, then you will need to look for a few basic parts that you can use to assemble your device.

Wrapping up
Electricians may not be the most popular people in the world, but they are certainly important. Their job is the power that keeps the lights on in our homes and the appliances running. They are responsible for making sure everything works and fixing it when things go wrong.
This is why everyone must learn at least a little about electricity before beginning their DIY projects. Electricity can be dangerous. It can shock and burn and cause fires or explosions. It is better to be safe than sorry. Being prepared can save time, money, and even your life.
Listed below are six steps you should take before you begin any kind of electrical project, no matter how small.
• Plan your project
• Get the proper tools
• Make sure all power sources are turned off
• When in doubt, throw it out
• Get help if you are unsure about something
• Stay safe and clean up after yourself
These six steps can help you avoid many common mistakes and make your projects go more smoothly from start to finish.
