The hate towards we yorubas didn't start today.......it has been in existence after the civil war. It so funny how a region declared a war, fought it but have two narratives of the out come. First narrative is where they fought and killed alot of Nigeria soldiers, built alot of weapons, did fantastic well holding the Nigeria army for 3yrs Second narrative is they were unjustly killed, starve to death, genocide on them by Nigeria army...they were all innocent victims of the war. First region in history to declare a War, fought it for 3yrs but after defeat play the victim card till date. I just don't understand why a whole region will speak with two sides of the mouth.... Each one born today is been told about the biafra war and automatically he/she has hate for Nigeria and this a fact. As a young boy in my secondary school I heard alot of bad things my ibo friends says about my tribe but I never knew were it was coming from until I grew older and I learnt about the biafra War. Most yoruba parent didn't tell there children about the biafra war because they didn't even know much about it.........it was a war fought between two government and not a tribal one. Don't let them deceive you with they voted for OBJ they didn't have any choice....it was a clear contest between two yoruba men so what would they have done?? They complain about GEJ defeat......this an ijaw man whose tribe doesn't even harbor any hate towards what happened in 2015. Why does GEJ losing the 2015 election pains the ibos more than the ijaws......Apc clearly won bayelsa governorship election isn't a disgrace to the ibos that the person they are breaking there heads for apc still won is state with his own support. Nnamdi kanu was speaking 99% of what every Ibo person have In there minds that why he was called the messiah......the hate,insults and violence was he speaking there silent thoughts. Them been careful with there words now and shouting one Nigeria can only deceive the gullible one's...they can never believe in one Nigeria. They hate Nigeria because of the civil war and by extention tinubu (yorubas) because they feel awolowo cause them the War defeat. Everything is fair in War they should know that......alot of families lost there sons during the civil war and they were killed by biafra soldiers....so what the probs  Forget about the narrative of tinubu is sick,old,criminal etc......seeing a yoruba man become president again is what they can't stomach. The hate will never stop because it is sowed at the point of birth in them.. Alot of us weren't born when the civil war was fought but if anyone is foolish enough to keep on harboring hatred towards any tribe because of a war we know absolutely nothing about then the hate will be giving back. Everyone is entitled there narrative and whichever side of the divide we belong we all know the truth and it is supreme. The truth can never be change no matter the false narratives. 4 Likes |

Don’t you lot ever get tired? How can Igbos hate Yorubas yet voted Obasanjo twice, even against Ojukwu when the latter was on the ballot on one occassion? Tinubu’s shady personality and his criminal tendencies completely negate the real Omoluabi ethos, hence the mass aversion to his greed-driven presidential ambition, not only from Igbos but even amongst well-meaning Yorubas in the SOuth West. I started hearing that no Igbo man will rule Nigeria when I was on Primary School and nobody told me what we did. So, is this love you are showing to Igbos? You claimed they told us about the war and we hated Nigeria. However, those of us that were born after the war and those who were children during the war knew nothing about the war and you are telling them that they cannot rule their own country. Godoverevery:From how you write, I believe you are educated and quite logical. Several times it has been explained to you lot that having an offshore trust is not criminal. It is regular thing done by both high networth and normal people, especially for tax reduction purposes. In the case of Peter Obi, a bulk of his business is based in the United kingdom and of course it is only natural and wise to have an offshore holding entity to handle his affairs. It is his money, legitimately earned and may wish to bank it anywhere in the world. If he is wealthy enough to open trusts or accounts in his 2 children's name for later use in life, how is it a crime? Would you rather he uses your name and gives you their inheritance? Why has icpc, efcc, lastma, vio, man o war, dss etc not gone after him if there was any crime commited by him, abi is he not in the opposition? A man that has been able to explain his wealth right from being a youth till this age eg owned a bank in his 30ies, has shown evidence of tax payment to local authorities for over 20 years of not less than 50m yearly. Also paid his taxes in the UK. Abi do you think you can hide as a UK resident and businessman without taxes? I challenge you to ask Tinubu or Atiku to show you evidence of tax payment for the past 10 years not even 20. Hate Peter Obi, despise him, don't vote for him, that is your right, but please don't give a good man a bad name. |
