This is a sad quote by Paul Coelho, famous writer of The Alchemist novel. It has also been used in the Anime - Bunguo Stray Dogs. What does it mean?

Are people really selfish? Do people only live for themselves? What if they have enough to share? And when they do share or give, do they do it for your good or for themselves? Doing good must make them feel good, don't it?

Denzel Washington once said that, it is selfishness to do good to others or to show others the way. Something like that, either of the two sha... but you get. The Bible also said that it is better to give than to receive. Givers are receivers. Does it mean that selflessness is a component of being selfish?

This part, to me, means that when it comes to survival, people whom you rather trust would save you, would save what they cherish the most - either themselves or someone else. So don't get mad when they don't choose you.

Greed, desperation, craftiness, anxiety, pain, selfishness

Where is love, peace and joy? Lol. No. Think about it

If you want to sell you don't just sell to a happy person. You sell to a happy person who wants more happiness - greed

Selling to desperate people, anxious people or someone who is going through pain or have gone through some struggle is easier. Do you know why?

No? It is because you won't have to stress yourself removing the veil of love, peace and joy from their faces. You see what they really are, and know what they really need. Then you channel what you have to help upset their need/desire.

Are we to establish that the very software that powers our life, using our life force as energy source, is actually coded to be 'Evil'? What about 'Good'? Are we to say it does not exist? I believe certain history figures are actually Great men, they are called Gods for such reasons of extreme goodness. Or are their goodness able to denominate their badness and their sins are forgiven on account of that?

Could it also be that what you call Laws promoting goodness and mercy are actually just Mind Kontrol Apparatchik, designed to program human farms that goodness is good and badness is bad, even though we know Cloning and Biological Engineering, though not thought in schools is the last of education needed yet left untaught yet should be the most desired field of study in the Universe, so facts such as you put, is left unquestioned, because it is beyond the level of all human education but we are schooled by the college of Goodness that we shouldn't design Being like us or far better than us in Consciousness spectrums yet meromorphically enhanced for designing own laws, Beings in universes that could choose ignorance as a norm, crime as an escape of a skewed existence and structure a minimum wage in every Region when factored with inflation can not keep a dog alive, yet is fit for humans. And if you have to be a billion at young age, you'd have to commit crime, take high interest loans in banking if you choose no evil, or inherit of a crime of your ancestors who took away land from weaker people after killing them.

Could it be that you are right, and all humans are evil, except for a few saints. Could it be a fault or intentional action of a programmer running some crazy experiment.

Look around you, it is not Human FAULT - It is built into us. We are all Evil, and we know it, we are just hiding, and who are we to blame for such Creation?

Blame KAL, but Love Him. We are in his Game, and we can't break out until we Die!!! YET, there are few Saints, they are called Saints for a reason. They came, they lived like peasants spreading the message and getting some assses while at it. And they become Divine.
