I have noticed, that today people seem to be in a rush for marriage and not really interested in romance and courtship aspect or prefer that kept to a minimum. Are we returning to the good old days of our parents, were people see each other for the first time and marriage. What's ur opinion on this matter? |

Bliss4Lyfe:The fact of the matter is that marriages lasted longer in those "good old days", as compared to the present day were 95% of people living are suffering from the "romantic love delusion". We can narrow down the reason for the upsurge in marriage break-ups today to the irrational belief in the concept of "love". Take it or leave it, but marriage is like playing a lottery, sometimes it works out, other times it doesn't, but the fun therein resides in the act of playing itself. A marriage that is destined to failure will always fail irrespective of the enormous amount of "romantic love" and courtship people do! |

Every gets married and many get divorced --- I can't compare it to the olden times because women back then didn't get divorced. Today, divorce is on everyone's mind. Rush in --- Rush out!  |

obowunmi: because now, most people actually love themselves to be married and it stays that way; they only get divorced wen d love goes sour! but in the good old days, people hardly married for love. so wat exactly will dey be divorcing from  if u ask me, i had rather have one day of a loving marriage to a loving husband, than spend the rest of my life in a boring loveless marriage. no wonder the high blood pressure rate is high with them. |
