The economies of sub-Saharan Africa are doing so badly, which is the reason those in the sub-region strive to flee. If it was so good, many AAs will gladly return. But economics will always trump emotions and psychology. They know their living standards will decline drastically.

Yes you have a very valid point. First generation Nigerian Americans really need to connect with their families back home before it’s too late. The only people to do that is their parents and close family members. I’m so surprised by the lack of vision and understanding from other commenters here. But your right.

It’s tougher to do with the dangers of back home. But Nigerians in diaspora especially in America need to teach their children the language and the culture and connect them with back home.
