ohh am so so sorry, honestly i havent been here for a while @ ficoram there are alot of things attached to that i.e the sensor,if there is blockage in the drive switch it can result to that,the valve body and filter needs to be checked ,,lets have it checked it could no be as difficult as you think

@ siena _overhaul_ In a complete overhaul , the transmission is removed  completely disassembled . Each part is inspected for wear and damage and then either cleaned,i.e the valve body or replaced with another part depending on its condition. Parts that have friction surfaces, such as bands and clutches are replaced as are all seals and gaskets. the ZF trannies are build for life they suppose to be maintenace free ,,,they mostly come with audi;s,,jag,bmw, 11B is a perfect grade oil,

these trannies come with real machine built for the bigger boys

honestly not work on that yet ,,,just giving my personal idea asper similar xperiences,,,,these trannies dont cough,,,i wish i can instal one of that in my rodeo lol

My mercedes 190 is not transmitting well. Just started when it was over heating and i replace the top gasket and the radiator. Now i have to trottle down before the gear changes and it does makes so much humming noise before the gear changes. i have gauged the the transmission oil. What solution can you proffer? thanks.
