Gunmen attack Fayose, vehicle destroyed (pictures)

Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, has escaped a kidnap attempt in Gbongan town in Osun State.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that sharing pictures of a damaged vehicle on his known Facebook page on Monday, Fayose claimed that[b]“many (people) were kidnapped”[/b] and that the kidnappers are heading to Lagos State.

He also stated that the worsening insecurity in Nigeria is why he would not vote for either Bola Tinubu (All Progressives Congress, APC) or Atiku Abubakar (Peoples Democratic Party, PDP) in the coming presidential election in 2023, accusing both men of helping President Muhammadu Buhari to power (in 2015).

Details of the purported attack are not yet clear.


“Thank God for life!!! No life was lost …. Many were kidnapped.

“Kidnappers in Gbogan area of Oyo state [sic] coming to Lagos.

“No security in Nigeria at all.

“This is why I won’t vote Tinubu and Atiku. They changed Goodluck (Jonathan) to Buhari,”Fayose wrote.

Meanwhile, Yemisi Opalola, the Police Spokesperson in Osun State, could not be reached for comments about the alleged attack.

I try to check where I can call safe in Nigeria, but I can’t categorically mention anywhere.
We are in a serious mess in this country and the government and law enforcement agencies are playing politics with the situation.

Vote wisely in the next election. I don't see what APC will do differently if re-elected. We already know that same ministers, security team will be maintained.

The same people stealing over 700K barrels of crude oil on a daily basis under their watch will continue business as usual.

A report of many kidnapped, yet somehow he was sure none died.

Finally, he telepathically found out the destination of the kidnappers.

Oh, and BTW, Gbongan is in Osun State.

INEC SHOULD BE RELEASING THE FULL DETAILS OF ELECTIONS IMMEDIATELY AFTER EACH ELECTION.

Since Nigeria now operates the electronic transmission method, then, the INEC should be releasing all the full details of the Election Results, down to the Polling-Unit Results, Ward Results, and the LGA Results..
And they should transmit all the Accreditation details to the NATIONAL BUREAU OF STATISTICS for proper categorisation and demographic details of the election.

It is high-time we start demanding from INEC to be releasing and publishing the full details of the Election Results as they were transmitted electronically to “The Collation Support and Result Verification System” (CSRVS) on their website and/or Online Results Portal immediately the Outcome of the Elections are declared and final results called out.
..
Since we (the voters) are aware that the data contained inside the CSRVS are a highly secret information because they are there to be used in the process of the election, and because the results of the election are not yet declared publicly. So, we can patiently wait.
..
But immediately the Election-Results are publicly declared by the INEC, then it means that the INEC had run all their checks, and confirmed that the information contained inside the CSRVS are genuine figures, and that they had finished using those figures for the purpose of the elections, and thus, they have to publish the whole figures as contained in the CSRVS on the INEC’s website and/or Results Portal..
..
The most important question now becomes:
“Since the CSRVS is now functional and being actively used in the Elections,, why are they still using any form of MANUAL COLLATION again??”.
