Omoo! Your dad ain’t alone in this. There are many teachers like him who ended up with nothing after 35 years in service.

I did a research recently and listening to the tales of those teachers was really pathetic. Some of them are being owed 3 years salary. No pension or gratuity and many have died in the course of fighting for their benefits.

are you in good health? was your belle full while growing up? are you intelligent? do you have a great family? did he try his best? well THATS HIS ACHIEVEMENT!!! as much as it may not be what other fathers have, be grateful for what you got (aka a father who tried his best for his family).

Same here. Both of my parents were teachers. My Dad went to be with The Lord since 2019, we've not been able to receive his gratuity.
