All professionals also want to leave....There is an avenue for everyone...No one wants to stay....that's why the FG have stopped giving airline Dollars and Nigerians are paying exorbitant air fees

Shey that unfortunate short man who parades himself as a one time doctor, but now plies his trade in insulting the sensibilities of of well meaning Nigerians at every given opportunity while discharging his duties as the dishonorable minister of labour (he shall labour in vain), once said we have too many doctors. A shame of a man. God forbid bad thing!

The exodus is not particular to the medical field. Even tech folks are moving. Foreign countries will continue to employ because only few countries have the required skilled labour to care for their population. The problem is that travelling out is now a more attractive option whichever way you look at it. Increasing welfare/salaries alone won’t solve this problem, no matter how much you want to pay them in Naira, they’ll have the opportunity to earn a lot more in abroad. I am sure there are a lot of people that would have overlooked the pay and stayed back if the country was working. First thing first, we need to fix the country. Hopefully Pablo Escobar will not be president

It is even easier to retrain tech folks compared to those in the medical field.

Seriously, should Nigeria fall into the hands of a wrong politician next year, the only thing is "God help us".

Just in a period of 6 months report of doctors leaving the country has come in, in more that 10 different ways.
The government is seeing it and yet won't do anything till gets out of hands then they will start looking for who blame.

The fatal grip on the jugular of Nigeria by criminal old men who has milked it blind is terrifying!
They created and weaponized poverty, tribalism, religious bigotry etc to further strangulate the hapless nation.
Patriotism and Citizenship is non existent in Nigeria, as their Army of chained Slaves are ever ready to defend or even die for them to retain their CHAINs.
One can only try ones best to liberate them but glorify mostly only on one's personal achievement and blessings to remain happy.
To God be the Glory.

The one going are jobless one.

Anyone who wants to leave should leave.

Thank God we still have prayer houses and alternative medicine (Baba Ijebu). Those two provide alternative health care services.

Besides, when doctors leave, they increase our foreign remittances for strengthening our naira.

Actually, ds is the kind of mentality that has destroyed the health system of Nigeria.
Y people die like fouls all in of visiting herbal practitioners and alternative.
If d western world were so keen on these,, will their health system be top notch??
Will our politicians be traveling always to receive health care abroad??
God helpand deliver us from ignorance

This mentality is the reason why Nigeria will never move forward. This one thinks that exodus of medical professionals is a joking matter. Wait until you have serious health problems and you are left with no choice but to visit the hospital and there's no one consultant to treat. Then you will realize the gravity of the situation. Anyways, Nigerians are content with suffering and smiling. Hence why they keep voting mediocres every four years. Nigerians looove hardship.

don’t worry soon you will understand that countries hiring Nigerian doctors and nurses are not fools. They actually select the best and leave the country with rubbish

Do you know what it means for a registrar and a consultant to leave ? Years of experience who will replace them ? In Lagos a young nurse gave magnesium sulphate iv as bolus the pregnant patient died in the spot. Who’s to blame where is the experience, who are the experts to teach and guide young professionals. Forget book work. Practise is another ball game

This shit isn’t good really

Hmmmm
It is well with Nigeria, both nurses are doctors are moving massively especially the nurses, very soon Nigeria will have no nurse left and what they will be using is a quack nurse (trained in hospital by some doctors and nurses) that some people called auxiliary nurse. Who knows the nurse that administered such medication could be quack and not a licensed nurse
God help Nigeria o
