Some Naija doctors are making as low as $200 and above just few minutes consultation depending on their area of specialty, $100/hr in some cases, the record are there to verify.
Can Naija govt afford to even pay #30k/day with is less than $50 in today's exchange rate.

Everybody is underpaid in Nigeria except the politicians.

Why do we compare our meagre salaries which could have been much better if we do not worship the politicians we deserve, with U. K and USA; and not with Scandinavian countries, China, Russia or Cuba where doctors make relatively the same with their population?

Canadian doctors make more in the United States but still relocate back to Canada. Na poor quality of life dey worry us.

The way medical personnel are leaving the country ehn ,soon to get specialist doctors go hard gan . Ngige once said if they like they can go , there are enough doctors to replace them . Unfortunately a lot are leaving . Just last week , I had to see off a doctor leaving for UK . One of the only 2 orthopaedic specialist doctors in Bauchi .

One day they will wake up and look desperately for professionals to help develop nigeria and they won’t find . Already houses are falling by the dozens and they don’t know that is one of the consequences of having quark and half baked engineers without mentors .

You owe professionals ,you owe the people training the young professionals , you create terrible working environments , yet you are talking about underpayment in places that provide all these things . I honestly think these guys have psychological problems .

Don't mind them. Europe knows their values, that's why they are paying them well, that's the reason why medical practitioners are leaving for Europe as well. A reasonable person is won't stays where he/she is not valued.

The APC gang is of little use to anybody. These doctors would not have left the country in the first place if a structure had been in place for them to thrive. They did not flee the country solely for financial reasons; they did so to save their own lives and that of their dependents.

Federal government doctors are not well paid, federal workers with the same degree, experience and grade levels have different pays. Agency workers that report to ministry earn more than the ministry workers.
