Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has disclosed that it losses 470,000 bpd amounting to $700 million monthly due to oil theft coupled with security challenges militating against oil production in some terminals.
This is even as it has disclosed that it has assembled an array of security measure, all coordinated by digital control system to curb the ugly trend.

Group General Manager, National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPMS), Bala Wunti, made the disclosure during a tour of the facilities of the NNPCL at the weekend, explaining that the pipelines particularly those around Bonny terminal cannot be operated due to the activities of criminals.

According to her, about 270 barrels that were supposed to be loaded in Bonny are no longer going to be loaded because of theft.

Please stop insulting us nigerians.you should be saying that nnpc and Apc steals $700m monthly crude oil.my brother we should tell ourselfs the truth the vessel that come and carry crude oil are Soo large that it cannot excape the eyes of the law enforcement agents, the community and the officials of Apc and nnpc, unless they are making us to understand that the crude and vessel will disappear come and load and leave shores of Nigeria I have never seen a govt as corrupt as this apc guvt.

The mistake they made at the inception of this Apc was because they wanted to win the election by all means they recruited all the thieves and election riggers in pdp to help actualize their dream and Tinubu their leader keep saying that they reward royalty. these looters were given the opportunity to get their rewards as agreed.

This same thing is trying to play out again in 2023. Tinubu is going round recruiting election riggers, political looters, cultists and jobless politicians to help win the election for him. please know that Tinubu will not reward their royalty and work from his personal wealth rather it will come from our national wealth and the looting continues.let us please be wise.

But we still have a president who doubles as the minister of petroleum. If the useless NNPCL GMD could not detect and block the theft, then him and petroleum ministers have no business continuing being in office.

If NNPCL were their personal business venture, would they have allowed the theft/mismanagement persist unabated?
